Ok i brought the bike from surrey for £940 its a late 2007 plate, built in 2006 though. It's running fairly well, partley due to the previous owner rebuilding the top part of the engine. The bike's bake brake did not work! When i say the paintwork was a mess i mean cracks, scratchs like someone attempted to murder the poor thing.

First of all the panel repair/sanding down ready to spray heres a few examples of the panels ready to paint Mr. Green

EDIT: Found some other pictures of panel repair

Next was to repair the back brake the previous owner told us he thinks it may be the rear hose leaking, on further inspection we found that the piston within the caliper was actually jammed!! Sad so after several hours trying to part it, it gave way. Cleaned it all up put it back together and all was well. Till i noticed the back break disc was attacked by rust and cracked in several places Confused .With no way to fix it i brought another one of ebay for £7 bargin if i say so myself Cool . lastly we replaced the pump under the reservoir...unsure of its correct name ...heres some pictures to show the brake Smile JOB 2 Complete Thumbs Up

The owner before last attacked the bike with a rattle can Evil or Very Mad ...covering the exhaust and well every other part of the bike in black paint, including engine cover , clutch cover even the screen! Rolling Eyes I dismantled the end can and used wire wool to get the black paint off it worked very well but when it came to putting the can back on it wasnt so simple... I tried to use a screw clip but it just rattled loose even with exhaust paste over it and has leaked all over the suspension back brake resiviour and frame Exclamation ...any suggestions on how to attatch it ???? Also the screen has had its day and really is only worthy of the bin!! please PM if anyone is breaking a SC Very Happy ....Also i brought some brand new indicators as the old ones wasnt their ...Unfortunatley the cheapest price i could find was £70 for the pair Rolling Eyes !! I also know 99.9% of Derbi Gpr 125 parts fit the SC does any body know if this applies to the screen aswell ?

Im now in progress of spraying the panels in black still not sure to go for matte or a high gloss. Any views on this ?

Heres a few pics of the leak, where the end can attaches...

arr awesome, think the newer 4 strokes have yam engines aswell

yeah i presume so...the new SC's however have alot of gilera parts e.g frame clocks ect , were as the older models e.g 06 ,07 have derbi parts much more reliable in my experience Smile

EDIT: also the new models have all being recalled due to the frame needs some attachment to make it stronger, but from my understanding they do it for free Very Happy

If you are talking about the extra engine/frame bracing then I think its been done. It has that box section on top of the engine welded to the frame that looks a bit like an afterthought. I think thats the bracing gilera add at the recall.

Not 100% sure mind
