I actually think the way we have it now is fine.

Its actually bloody annoying getting up at 8am on a winters morning and it being dark. If we stayed on BST it wouldn't get light till 9am, sod that! All for an extra hour of light between 4-5pm?

Yes. It's a damn site more useful in the afternoon than the morning (especially at weekends).

I agree with Ariel. Should be BST+1.
