Not a cool story BRO! but.
My daughters boyfriend has expressed an interest in having a project bike Shocked Confused !!
So today I gave him two XS250 engines to make into one good one.
I also told him, he can have the pick of my XS spares, including , frame, wheels, forks, tank, carbs, ect ect.

I get a result, as he/we get to put another bike on the road eventuly/possibly/maybe Smile .
I get a bit more space in my garage.
I also wont be as distracted, when doing my XS400 Smile .
As it`s going to be his bike, I dont have to pay for all the little bits and pieces Smile .

Or am I going to put him off project bikes for life and leave him a jibbering wreck?

No, you'll have LESS space in the workshop, with some-one jabbering over your shoulder asking stupid questions, your bike wont get anywhere, becouse between asking stupid questions you'll be hunting the elusibe 10mm spanner or 13mmm socket they haven't put back, and ultimately YOU'LL end up the nervouse jibbering wreck, while they just 'dont understand..... He SAID he'd HELP me!"
Why do you think I'm already a nervouse jibbering wreck?
Why it wasn't any great hardship to offer to teach Snowie a Project!

I think extra garage space and a gibbering wreck are both excellent results.

You'll have less space, but if he knows nothing about mechanics or bikes then it'll most likely turn into a joint-project.. but what if him and your daughter don't work out you just gave off free stuff away for little reason Laughing

On the minus side, he is DEFINITELY banging your daughter, right as you read this post. Only this time, hes doing it over an engine.

XS250. You're a bloody sadist. If nothing else you'll have him hitting F5 on Ebay for weeks, trying to find a seat (or tank that's not silly money).

In theory it's a good idea.
...but then in theory a condom stops pregnancy.

In practice I bet you lose your tools and he gives up before Easter.

When I say gives up that may be the bike and/or your daughter.

Have you thought of giving her a project?

Have fun, hope it works out Very Happy Thumbs Up
