Would we be doing Korn a favour if we all clicked on a few ads each time we came on bcf or would it not work like that?

It would, but generally the terms of the ads dictate that he shouldn't ask you to... Wink

Am I right in saying that having ads blocked doesn't make any difference to revenue if the ads being blocked are ads that we wouldn't click anyway? Everything is done on clicks rather than impressions, right?

Don't you have to be careful about clicking the google ads, they track the clicks and look for patterns/potential abuse of the adverts.

Yeah. Impressions are pretty worthless to an advertiser.

Shouldn't be a problem unless you come on here and religiously click bucketloads of ads each day.

Yeah, the adware_nag.gif mentions that karma will be affected if you block the ads.

It's not like it's overloaded with ads or needs to be especially fast loading, the ads don't bother me.
Some sites really take the biscuit.

I've unblocked it so ads load for me, don't normally but I use this site a lot (mostly lurking) so might as well, only thing I hate is that they're animated instead of static, it does my nut in.

I unblocked it on this site, but if it ever leads to pop-ups I am blocking it again.

On my iPhone, when the page loads it first loads the ad blocker image saying you will lose karma, and then it loads the advert. Does this karma is lost while the advert loads? I assume it isn't because the advert is eventually just loads. Not that it is going to stop me using my phone to go on BCF, I was just wondering.
