Give us go Mr!

I don't particularly want one, especially as it's going to cost £10,000! Looks pretty though.

I've already posted in the other thread.

I knew I sold my 675 for a reason...

Oh dear.

How come one Italian manufacturer get a design nailed, yet another makes, that...

Or is it all in the eye of the beholder and what not?

Quote:
“The design of the bike, I have to say, It’s really unique, but it has a family feeling of an MV. The engine is really different from the competitors because it is full ride-by-wire; it’s completely new and has more performance. At the bench, we are now around 137bhp, so we think we can reach 140. This will be the first three-cylinder that is completely electronic, completely ride-by-wire and there are some specs in the engine, that our engineers will need to tell you about, that are different from the others.”

“The F3 will be the smallest bike that’s ever been produced in this category. It’s like a 125.”

“At the moment, we’re finishing our engineering and prototyping. The engine already did 70,000 miles without any problems. We have good results of reliability and good results of performance. Let’s say that we have done 90 percent and now have 10 percent to go. Production will start in October of next year.”

“The pricing is already decided. The price will be €11,500, which is in direct competition with the rivals [the 128bhp Triumph Daytona 675 retails for €11,590 in Italy]. There is a small premium because an MV is a rich bike, but with all the competition between €10,500 and €11,200, we’re not far above. It is a really competitive price for an MV.”

“For the American Market? To be competitive in the US we will have to sell the bike around $12,000 and that makes it difficult because, with the dollar still going down, it is very difficult for us to be profitable in the country. Almost impossible.”

The exhausts are position to the curve of the wheel... Cool

Its a stunning looking bike but if I was going to spend that much I'd spend the extra and go for the F4

I forgot how different the Agusta's were actually. Laughing I blame JAMSXR for only posting the rear.

I love sportsbike, the new ones look good, just that they all look very very similar. But as above, i forgot that the MV always did 'it's thing' and was expecting some R6 headlights (Like the new Ninja..)

Looks to me like they designed those flanks to smooth air flow over the rider's knees...not sure on the mirrors, prefer the F4's colour matched ones.

Do you think MV will use them to return to the racing scene in the supersport classes?

I'd be surprised if it was a factory supported effort. A private team probably will though.

i dont like the side fairing...
look at Italian sports bikes and youll see the whole side is usually covered with fairing... not this one...
looks like a crb125 with the tiny engine showing...
not keen on the rear either...
like the exhaust but an aftermarket one would make that pointless...

only bit i like is the exhaust and headlight... not much point buying it for that, bet it performs shitter than any other 600 or duke as well...

I was worried they would use their previous 'cop out' front - I note the first page linked to doesn't show it Smile.

Be interesting to see if it does actually outperform the current crop of supersport bikes - it seemed the previous recent models only really just matched up; needing to bring out silly expensive versions to do anything noteworthy.

One of the nice things about the 675 (which I'd say over all looks better personally) is that it's really narrow - pretty much up to 849/999 levels - haven't ridden the latest dukes.

It's nice, but I'd probably get a 675. Or the new 675R *dribble*
