A little advice needed

Well as some of you may know I had my KTM stolen last week. Insurance company have decided to pay the amount I payed for it etc...Fair.

But, my bike is insured at my current address, but in my excitement to get the bike I put down my old address on the V5 document, now I need to send this in to the insurance company for them to check.

Do you think they would pull this up? Or shall I resend the docs back to DVLA, wait another 2 weeks and make sure the details are perfect??

It should make no difference whatsoever, especially if you tell them it was done to make it impossible for thieves to trace the bike to it's real address via a DVLA reg-check.

It shouldn't matter, my car and bike are down as my parents address on the V5 because I move house all the time, whereas the insurance is for where I keep the vehicles. The incompetent criminals at the DVLA might have an issue with this though.

So long as it was stolen from where it was insured you'd hope they wouldn't have much of a case to not pay out.

I DOUBT it will be an issue; generally insurance companies don't clutch at straws so much for smaller cases.

Sweet, thanks guys, this should save me two weeks. It was stolen from my girlfriends house when I stopped for tea. So it was neither address.
