Bit ugly, but long overdue.

ATM, if you want a faired, sporty 600 you get a high revving supersport more suited to track work than the road. Glad to see it coming back personally.

Its fugly. I'm sorry but am I the only one here that prefers the styling of bikes in the 90's?

That thing looks like the bastard love child of the new suzuki gsxf and the kwak EN6

I agree, Honda seem to have gone down the path of total blandness of late, there entire range seems to be be aiming for the same plain dull look from the cbf range through to their vfr.
I don't know what bike stylists these days think they're trying to achieve with the outlandish designs they seem to come up with, if anything new models seem to take a step backwards in terms of overall look.
The early Hayabusas looked slabby but functional, today's ones just look hideously malformed. Suzuki seem to have a thing for awkward looking exhaust systems, the b-king is just as bad.
I'd agree early to mid-90s styling trends were more impressive.

It will be, because it's just a standard clutch lever bracket that they will no doubt use on a lot of their range.

When the Busa first came out I thought eurgh. Major ugly but over the years they started to grow on me until the last incarnation of the beast which left me feeling queasy and suddenly loving the styling of the older ones. WTF is the deal with the rear indicators on the new shape busa? eeew!

Looks like an overblown superscooter. Doesn't do anything for me personally, and you don't exactly notice many new hayabusas around either. Personally I always thought things like the zxr750 looked about right.

I can not understand this trend of blocky-ness. What is that piece of shit beneath the engine, a 100-way Cat? Very Happy

Digital tachometers can suck my balls.

Oh dear.

I'll take a late pre-06 model personally. The practical one with pillion grab rails, a centre stand, 4 pot front brakes, acceptable cosmetics, cat free exhaust.... at least it didn't look so much as a parts bin lash up.

Smart people WILL buy a CBR600F... Albeit one of a 2001-2006 vintage!

It looks like an uber downgrade and makes a mockery of the CBR bloodline!

Arrow It doesn't have a beam frame
Arrow It has SLIDING CALIPERS (rather than 4 pots) so no doubt the brakes will be crapper
Arrow No centre stand?!

So for a better AND cheaper AND better looking bike DO buy the CBR600F... Just not the latest one!

Honda sort yourself out!

Sadly its not just Honda. As the Cheesy beany one said. Suzuki have a fugly exhaust problem of late. Kawazaki seem to be taking a leaf from Aprillia. Even Yamaha are at it with the new R 1 and its fucked up front end.

I grew up loving the look of the faired superbikes that were out in the 90's but these days if I was buying new I would probably chose a naked one because the new superbikes are ghastly.

I actually quite like that, I might go seeking a test ride when it comes out!

Although, never have I seen a bike more in need of a tail tidy!

Yeah, yeah and the chain is tight. Fucking hell, burn this bike with fire before it leaves production lines!

If it's cheap enough, I can't see the issue with the frame, no centre stand is a bit more inexcusable, as is what I suspect will be a complete lack of cubby holes and storage on the bike itself. Surely this isn't going to be any more practical than a current zx/cbr rr/gsxr that's had it's suspension dialled in for our bumpy roads? It just strikes me as a poor man's RR as is tbh.

Old blades and the like had vast underseat storage. Little touches like that are what Honda seem to be missing here.

And the CBR250R which was announced the other day:
