Do it yourself, it's a simple job changing cables.

I presume you mean brake line rather than brake cable, what with it being a hydraulic brake.

Longer cables means making them up, which I would expect to be at least 15 mins per cable and the same for the brake line. As for prices, genuine cables tend to cost £30 a pop and pattern ones about a tenner, never had to have special length ones made up.

After fitting the brake line they'll need to get it all fully bled through, which can take a while.

You can always shit on their grass to show your displeasure though.

The front brake works OK, but is a little tight, told them to look at it, they said the cables made can sometimes work out cheaper ... shame neighbour told me of a cov bloke who makes them good and cheap ... Smile

Order a front braided line from HEL/Goodridge etc and ask them to make it a few inches longer, take this down to the garage and you wont need to pay for their mark up on parts - you will get a better line for less money.

As for the clutch cable, there are plenty of people capable of making them selling on the net. Find someone on eBay selling loads of different kinds and there is a good chance they are making them up themselves - just ask for one a few inches longer.

Changing cables is easy, changing brake lines is a little more complex - both will be much cheaper if you supply the parts yourself.
