I'm getting a part and parts plus labour quote from bike dealer ..
New longer, clutch, choke, excelerator and front brake cable / and poss fitted.
So .. i'm guessing ..
Cables ... 100 quid tops ...
Labour one hour 55 quid ...
Sound about right .. 125 cagiva raptor btw ..  ____________________ Fuk um !! |

Simple job .... ha ha ... If they quote an hour i may suck it up. otherwise i have someone in mind ....
If i get them to do it, it will be done, i can ride the bike home ... so were see ... if they say more than an hour or over a oner for the cables i won't be best pleased ...  ____________________ Fuk um !! |

I told you before Robby, i shat on the hammock, which you slept in the next day, but thanks for reminding me ...
New bars bacon, caus the old ones broke ...
The front brake works OK, but is a little tight, told them to look at it, they said the cables made can sometimes work out cheaper ... shame neighbour told me of a cov bloke who makes them good and cheap ...  ____________________ Fuk um !! |

Order a front braided line from HEL/Goodridge etc and ask them to make it a few inches longer, take this down to the garage and you wont need to pay for their mark up on parts - you will get a better line for less money.
As for the clutch cable, there are plenty of people capable of making them selling on the net. Find someone on eBay selling loads of different kinds and there is a good chance they are making them up themselves - just ask for one a few inches longer.
Changing cables is easy, changing brake lines is a little more complex - both will be much cheaper if you supply the parts yourself. |
