Passed mod 1! second attempt. failed the first because i only got 49kph but i got 53kph this time  bring on mod 2!

waiting to re-do my MOD1 2nd time. Failed putting foot down on slow speed test  D'oh!!
Same as Blurredman - cant get a test date at the mo.

I did 54k on both, first time. Problem was, I didn't stop in time for the box, appart from that Absolutely perfect! So trivial. But they are the rules

Nice one Andy, good luck for the Mod 2.
All you lot that can't get a test in a long time.. Get on the blower to all your local riding schools, plenty will have cancellations as they block book tests, we got a Mod 1 for the next day after ours were cancelled.  |

I tried that, and they said i'd have to book a lesson if i wished to purchase a test from them

I offered him a deal, that i would purchase some mod2 lessons if he let me purchase a mod1 test. He wouldn't budge xD

That's strange cause I did that exact same thing and passed...... Was it a brief dab down or did you come to a full stop? I dabbed down briefly as my balance went off but was still kinda moving and he only gave me a minor for it...

Blurredman, maybe try ringing the booking office or checking last/first thing every day if you're not already doing that. My friend did that for her car test retake. |
Just done that, got one for next Tuesday (the 9th).
I was considering just leaving it and waiting till it's a bit more sunny. But I just saw that booking and decided i'd go for it
Better get practicing, haven't gone on the bike for a week. Only tuesdays and wednesdays and weekends would be good for me. But there were only thursdays.
Hope it doesn't rain

Yay well done glad you decided to go for it. Just get it over and done with and on to the Mod2
You shouldn't need much practice. I know the nerves will still be there but not as much as you know what to expect now, just keep confident.
Hopefully the decent weather will hold but if not remember the surface is fairly grippy in the wet and as long as you use your front brake more on the speed tests and back brake only all other times you should have no problems.
