For what...track? Commuting? Looking snazzy?

Your question is like saying hammer, or vibrator...entirely depends upon what you intend to use it for.

Well, judging by the two choices, its not likely to be either Track or looking snazzy...! Smile

I just want a bike that is nice to ride, rideable in all weathers, and fairly cheap to maintain... and occasionaly go a bit quick... Mr. Green

The insurance qoutes are similar...

Am I going to find the ER gutless?

A friend has an ER5. It seems to do the commuting job excellently. I've seen a tonne out of it so not exactly slow. Laughing But, the 900 puts out almost double the BHP. Haven't owned one though so can't say anything.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Fuck Yeah! It really is that simple! Thumbs Up I'd not thought of it that way, but you have comfirmed what I had been thinking. Having just sold the GSXR, I think the ER would be a step too far in the wrong direction...
Never owned a Triumph before... Mr. Green

Lulz!
I know, I was leaning that way, even found a pretty blue one on Ebay, but the guy has sold it last night... Evil or Very Mad

The same bloke has got a fairly clean 92 Triumph there with 12months T+T

I need a bike quick! And I just cant seem to find any Hornets going for the right money...

Maybe one last look in Auto-Trader... Confused

I came off a Hornet onto a ER-5 as it is cheaper to run and the consumables are cheaper, the step-down isn't THAT bad, you have 40bhp+ less but I still find it has plenty of power. It has a Remus exhaust on too so sounds better than it is Wink
