Why doesn't this forum have a "say hello" section? People seem to use general bike chat and new bikers bits but it's not really the purpose of either of them.

Since korn is back perhaps he could add a section?

Just a thought.

I agree. I'm not a new biker but was new to the forum and posted my first hello thread in the general chat. It was then moved to the new biker section.

It would a be a good idea to have a "New member" section where new people could say hi and tell a little about themselves. One of the last new members has been riding most of his life but posted in the new biker section.

Besides. It would keep the new biker section free for people looking advice on tests and learning to ride.

The forum doesn't need a new section, there's enough as it is. Maybe a stickied "Introduce yourselves" post somewhere, but not a whole section.

It would help keep the new bikers section clear for giving and asking advice Thumbs Up

Although they could post a hello in the area section. Wink

Not the case - you posted in Show & Tell and it was moved to General Chat Wink.

Personally, I've always found the 'intro' forums to be a bit odd - generally most of the populace ignore them, with a select few replying to most posts.

I stand corrected. Either way it was posted in the wrong section. Simply because there was no clear cut place to introduce yourself. Fair enough if there cant be a section for newbies but I agree with the shaggy one with a sticky note in a section

Old Thread Alert!

The last post was made 15 years, 305 days ago. Instead of replying here, would creating a new thread be more useful?
