Well for those of us that don't have a tank bag or side panniers was wondering what you carry under your seat. For me it's
digital camera
two rags
baffle for exhaust
mini tool kit
stand foot thingy
a hid £5
disk lock with cable
piece of paper and pen

I have a tool kit and cable ties and the control box for the alarm is there. I have a disc lock, 2 of those side stand things and a camera in the glove box. I once got a bath towel, 2 small bottles of cola, my sons shorts and a t shirt under the seat of my fazer, just so my son could go swimming at devils bridge.

A 2 stroke oil tank and a bottle of visor cleaner, as that is about all that fits under the seat, I can wedge my keys and phone in there as well with correct positioning.

Bike tool kit (quite a good one as they go). Cable repair kit, puncture repair plugs, spare fuses, spare brake and clutch lever (old bent ones that still work), PVC tape, a length of wire, two jubilee clips, allen key set, first aid kit.

I should really bung some spare tobacco and a lighter in there too in case of breakdowns.

on the camera point your better with a disposable in a plastic wrapper, digi cams batteries aren't to be trusted. toyota used to give these with every new car and they still turn up in used ones so i bagged a couple for me to use incase of any spills.

i have on occasion water proofs, locking chain, tool kit and a beverage of some description. plenty of room under it to be fair really surprised. fazer 600.

cargo net and waterproofs tucked in either side of subframe, then bike cover, 1.5m chain, padlock but requires a special technique to get the bastard shut

Bungee cords, Disc Lock and a B&Q Leathermans knockoff. I'm in the process of compiling an 'emergencies' toolkit, though - tyre plugs, plug spanner and a couple of spanners to complement the multitool (which is pretty capable at most things I've required of it so far).
[tempting fate]Fortunately, it's a pretty new bike, so it shouldn't explode too terminally anytime soon.[/tempting fate]

Battery and basic free tool kit (could practically dismantle most the bike with it though)

Could fit a pack of gum in there, just.

only thing that fits under the seat on the rat is the battery, and thats a squeeze.

I still carry a handful of cable ties, a reel of electrical tape, a pair of side cutters, a few spare fuses and a torch in my cutoff though, never know when they will come in handy. Annoying when everyone knows you carry cable ties though as they keep wanting to steal my emergency toolkit. Laughing

Cheers
John

A very very small ratchet with about 4 sockets. Its honestly the smallest ratchet set I have ever seen. And a spare sparkplug. Thank god my bike has 1 cylinder though, if it had more there is no room for more than 2 at a squeeze Laughing

On a side note I may just scrap the ratchet set and bung a disklock in there if Im not taking a bag. We'll see how it all pans out.
