Hi,

My DTR has started playing up as of late and I'm finding it hard to put my finger on the problem.

The problem is hesitation at around 6-7k it just wont go past them revs whilst in gear with load on it, gets a bit better out of gear about 9-10k but does get hesitant.

Things I've tried new coil, spark plug, checked all electrics, new air filter, checked air box, checked carb nothing blocked, fuel flows freely from tank.

But I can get it to go though the revs fine IF I take the air filter out so when its getting more air its fine any ideas what this could be? I've checked the main jet and its a 240 which I believe to be standard should I try a smaller one?

I have not long since started running it on putoline scooter oil this is the only thing I can think of that I've changed.

Any help greatly appreciated here it's doing my head in.

is this a bike you have just bought, or have you had it for a while? Have you modifed anything from stock? Its hard to tell without knowing the bike history.

240 main jet seems rather high thou

Is the drive chain at the right tension and lubed?

Plenty 2 stroke oil in the reservoir?
