Black Yamaha TRX850 - Wanted for Hire

hello

Is there anyone on this forum who owns a Black Yamaha TRX850 and lives in or near Bristol ?

I'm a photographer and I have a photo shoot on the 18th December and I'm looking to rent the above bike for 2hrs.

The photo shoot will take place in or near to Bristol. I will also need the front faring removed as I need the bike to look as close as possible to the bike used in Tombraider.

The owner would need to bring the bike to the studio and leave it with us for the 2hrs . The bike will just be used as a static display while a model poses on or around it dressed as Lara Croft.

Unfortunately, the bike owner will not be able to remain in the studio while the shoot is in progress, its just studio protocol.

If there is anyone here , who fancies earning an easy few bob on a Saturday, can you contact me ..

They had one of these adverts before. Cant remember what bike they were looking for but they got the same response. I'll give you a rundown of the highlights.

"Got a T shirt you can borrow if you want but no one is going to be stupid enough to leave their bike alone with you for a few hours.

If its a photoshoot then what difference does one more person make standing behind the cameraman?

Got a black pushbike you can use if thats any good?

You get the idea. The majority told him no while the rest took the piss. He eventually gave up. I suggest you do the same

Shame it was blue and nowhere near Bristol otherwise I would have had the pleasure of sniffing the seat after a photo shoot.

As long as he gave a full value deposit for the bike in cash, I'm sure he would have someone take him up on the offer, as long as the hire rate covered the cost of bringing the bike to him.

As I suspect I said before - seems perfectly reasonable.

I'd be worried if people really think they're likely to nick the bike Wink

- as it seems this set up would leave them rather 'exposed' if they tried - taking the bike to a commercial studio and presumably handing it over to a specific person. Especially for a TRX which can legitimately bought for under £1000, so must be worth a fair bit less as a stolen vehicle Confused

Anyway, for the OP - there's a TRX yahoo group, or was a few years ago. Trying on there is probably your best bet.
