Best way to attach rear L plate?

Ive been using floppy plates jerry rigged as a temporary hold over for the past week since I passed my cbt last saturday.

The solid plates I ordered arrived today and as soon I went to put them on I started scratching my head on how to attach the rear plate :/.
My bike is a YBR125 and the only choices seem to be drilling holes in the licence plate or mudguard then hanging it from either one. Any higher and the plate covers the licence or the rear light/reflector.

Whats the best choice?.

Go to halfords and get some of the double sided sticky pads used to stick number plates on, and stick on the back of the number plate

My bike rear number plate had two holes at the top (for fixing to the bike itself) and the bottom two were already there.
I bought two sticky L plates and cut out a lid of a box (crackers selections) and stuck them on the cut out part and just put two holes at the top, zip tied them to the lower holes on the plate. Job done.

I have to manoeuver my motorcycle out of a tight garage so having a solid state L plate would certainly break in my situation

But all you can really do in your case, is hole and zip it up like me, or extend some sort of backplate. to make the number plate and L plate one.

This is what my L plate looks like, and the majority of people are the same.

I had one of these "r-send" number plate brackets and managed to adjust it to get the L plate fitted to the bottom of the number plate

i drilled through the license plate and then kept it in with self tapping screws,hasn't fallen off yet so its all good

My license plate also had hole already drilled. It's the best way, don't bother gluing or taping.
