Well lightning does indeed strike twice, I bet the same bunch of cunts that nicked my bike on the 28th August have struck again! This time the bike was in a 'secure' motorcycle part of an underground car park that was chained to a set of railings. All I have as a memento of my bike is my chain, all snipped and all!

https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=204191

I was gob smacked when I got the bike back before, I hold out no hopes this time!

Do you know the worst part, I sold my other bike over the weekend so I have no other means of getting to work than use the train until further notice!

out of interest,, what chain did you have on the bike?

I really hope you get it back, but I wouldn't think it was likely.

Probably the same people back again. They obviously really want your bike. It's a high value motorcycle. Crying or Very sad

I feel gutted for you, was well chuffed when you got it back before despite the missing bits and damage to air box etc.

Do you know where it was found last time, worth having a look?

Glad i live where i do, the crime rate is practically zero out here in the village, would hate to go back to city life and having to weld anything i want to keep to an immovable object

Can't remember the male of chain off the top of my head I'm afraid. Its got a nice pinched snap at the connection to the lock though thanks to some bolt cutters.

The bike was found on Greenwich, SE London last time.

CCTV does cover some parts, not sure which parts though? We'll see in a few days when the PC at the hospital is told to review the tapes. I believe he rides a bike in to work from our previous conversations.

Should always ride some tatty old shit heap if you've got to leave your bike unattended for long spells somewhere like a car park. Because anything vaguely desirable WILL certainly get lifted eventually.

Totally agree. A cheap 125 if you are local or a cheap 500 if a bit further away. Do it tpft and you might even make a profit when its nicked.

Something I would be asking myself is:

Who came to see it and did they see your other bike while they were there? Particularly someone who came to look but didn't buy.

What do these pro thieves use? I assume fake plates and a white van. Probably not much chance to get it back right?

What chain did they cut through and do you have a tracker? I wouldn't mention where it is on here, it could be a member of lurker who messed you up.

Surely there will be CCTV even if it is only the entrance/exit.

As I found out from the first time, they do have CCTV, it filmed my bike being stolen but then moved from shot into a van. As they didn't get this information its just peoples ID. Why they couldn't have used this in conjunction with the address and location the bike was found is beyond me?!

Anyways, like I say they do have CCTV but not sure how many and what locations they are. The car park is a pay to get in / out one so they made som effort to enter, park nearby the bike area and then wheel the bike into the back. Hopefully not too many large vehicles or vans enter and exit within several minutes giving them a chance to locate them.

I was mentioning to the wife that I suspect that a few bikes went missing last night, just a hunch mind.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

god thats such a beautiful bike, no wonder they came for it twice. I've really wanted to have an immobiliser with an extra battery pack that sends a few thousand volts through the handlebars. That would be awesome. I'd fork out for that. Come out to see a dead chav on your bike. cunts.

Ohh man I feel awful for you Sad.

I was searching the web for your bike last time because I felt so bad!

From watching the video that was posted on here not to long ago, chains are useless. It took a guy 15 seconds to cut through my chain that cost me 50 quid.

If you get it back, get a disc lock. They are in a much more awkward place to try and break.

I do hope you get it back though. Good luck, and perhaps go and see if its where it was found before?

A disc lock would have been next to useless if they put it in a van. Very slightly inconvenient for them but that's it.

Chains are the way to go. They are not useless provided you actually buy a decent one like an almax.
