Torrent downloads wont start

Hi guys,

For some reason my torrent downloads wont start, they have always worked fine until a week or so back, I can still download if I bring my laptop to friends houses.

Has my ISP blocked me downloading or something?

The torrent loads onto the downloader but then just sits at 0%

Sorry if I'm being useless with my description but I don't know a huge amount about this kind of thing! Feel free to ask any questions to get more info out of me Laughing

I get this but when they do start they go at <4kb/s. That's on a scene torrent with 2000+ seeds and 0 leechers at 4am on a week day. Been using nzb's for a while now, had one going at 6.8MB/s today Very Happy

Semi-sorted it, I was using Bittorrent built in to Opera, I downloaded Utorrent instead and that has done the trick, its faster than ever, two albums in 10 minutes.

Assuming there's been no change to your PC, router, connection etc, it's possible that your ISP may have restricted your connection Embarassed

Have you been downloading large amounts lately??

I only ask because just by coincidence I had a letter from my ISP today suggesting that my connection had been used to download "excessive amounts" of data during peak times lately.
They haven't restricted the connection AFAIK, but the suggestion was that they could if my connection was believed to have been used with unreasonable demands on the bandwidth.
