Exhaust Loud or Quiet???

Hi Maybe this is in the wrong topic but maybe it is general knowledge so deserve's to be here.

The question is, i always put a nice end can on my bikes, why is it that some times it sounds like the devil is inside playing the death drums, with pop's and bangs when throttling off, and other times not so much as a wet fanny fart comes out??

I always loved my GT with a straight through scorpion.

It would crackle and spit flames on the run down, and generally be like a chav kicking off when you gave it some.

In Grimsby at the top of Peaks Parkway there is an under pass that, with the right revs and gear, the bike would back fire under both bridges and sound silly loud.

Dam I miss that bike.

Arr well the twin unbaffled shorties i'm getting for it should sound rather nice.
