So here I am, racking up another load of hours on COD when I thought I'd check the stats. After having a game ages you wonder how much time you've played on it without ever knowing. So, post up legit times from games where it's recorded. Not sure it does from any of mine on the Xbox but these are from my PC:

COD: MW2 - 132.1 hours (27.7 singleplayer, 104.4 multiplayer)
Just Cause 2 - 89.3 hours
COD: Black Ops - 9.6 hours (1.4 singleplayer, 8.2 multiplayer)

9.6 days of sitting and shooting the crap out of things Laughing It'd be massively higher if I knew the times from other games too. Someone on here must play WoW with a game time of about a month...

A month?
I played EQ and had game time of nearly 500 days when i stopped.
That was with raiding 6 days a week and grinding for Alternate Abilities before and after raids in between work Razz

Was no where near playing wow hardcore. Played wow for pleasure and only did casual stuff so my playtime there won't be nearly as high but still well over a month total i would say lol

Edit: Realised you can see it on eqplayers.

I've had a few 100+ hour games on Final Fantasy games and my Fallout 3 Game was approaching 100 Hours before I lost it, I think my current new vegas game is 50+ hours.

i cant sit and play any game for more than 10mins at a time nowadays. i quit playing wow 2 years ago and since then i've just not been able to sit still for that long.

which is a good thing in my eyes Smile

but.. before that i played wow for about 2 years with a 3 month break inbetween. highest raid instances, highest pvp ranks, 2k+ arena ratings and all the gumph, loads of well geared chars..

id hate to guess how much time i wasted doing all that. there were times id get home from work and spend 5+ hours a night. id sleep, work, play with eating in the middle.

i did make a lot of good friends, some of whom i see in real life regularly but still.. not a good use of time.

a few m8s that had quit got convinced to reinstall it recently and asked me.. not a chance! lol

Can't find my old druid on that, but I did find my monk (apparantly it had been transferred to another server, thought I was on Luclin) - was surprised to see I only had 17 days played on it. I'd played between 2000 and 2005 before switching to WoW, that I played for 2-3 years or so.

Just started playing EQ again on the Project 1999 server - classic setup as it was when launched. They're only taking it as far as Velious (Kunark is due to be launched soon) so if you fancy an old school session it's good for a giggle :-

https://www.project1999.org/forums/showthread.php?t=2651

Started with a DE Enchanter and got it to level 8 purely to be a stein of moggok mule; got 2kpp in the bank now to twink out a main. Just need to decide which one of the alts is going to be the main Smile

I've been mooching about on the EQ emu servers aswell.
Most of them get boring after a little while. Gear is too crazy and once you're in decent gear everything gets easy to do so boring.

Might look into the project '99 one though.

I'm enjoying it, even with the hybrid xp penalties, corpse rotting, no bazaar, no PoK stones. It's so classic that there's only one boat between Freeport and Butcherblock (not two) and Sgt Slate is getting trained to the East Commandlands tunnel on a regular basis Smile

If you give it a whirl, shoot me a tell and I can drop some plat on you to start you off - alts du jour are Darklake, Mijit, Munk, Doremi and Totty.

172 hours on BF:BC2
168 hours on CoD:MW2
27 hours on Blur
7 hours on CoD:BO

Dunno about single player. I'd class myself as causal gamer, maybe an hour a day average. I try not to play at night cos an hour always turns into 3 when I'm playing with friends, then my sleeping pattern gets messed up Sad

Bastard. Bastard, swine. Vile temptress. Or whatever the bearded male equivalent to a temptress is.

I played EQ from a few months before Kunark and finishing a few months after Darkhollow released, some of my fondest memories involve fear raids and the newbie run (the risk of losing all of your hard won virtual chattels) from Kelethin to Freeport and the incredibly dicey journey on to the fabled Qeynos.

The days when a young ranger could make gold by casting Harmony on players because they thought - as the icons were similar - it was a Clarity style buff.

Dual wielding Lamentations and wearing an FBSS was godly Cool

Maybe I don't want to actually play again, I suppose it's the new experience I miss rather than the game itself, although the old experience has nostalgia. Chatting shit in the oasis (or later LoIO), sitting in NFP and watching auction spam (yes, I played on Drinal. No E.Comms tunnel spam for us), spectre trains and shouts in the Butcher Blocks of "Chessboard to zoneline, CHOO CHOO". Late '99/02 MMORPG players were rather different to the new breed of WoW gamer.

Oh aye, and one more. The first time a character had magical footwear, kicking a wisp to death in the Commonlands Laughing

Not telling you how many days played, it disturbs me.

We used to run rinna lightblade or whatever she was called through EC tunnel and zone into north ro.

Then she'd walk back and kill all the evil races on the way back to her hut Razz
Was epic to watch people scatter.

I got stuck in tunnel once selling something expensive. I forget what. Got encumbered and couldn't get to bank Razz

Yeah but how efficient are you? I mean, knocking our ten tanks in a hour is more impressive than ten tanks in a week... Razz

More like dedication to the 2'nd best raid guild server wide at the time Razz

I couldn't play like that anymore. I get bored of all the new games really quick.
I suppose that's what happens when you get older lol
Back then i had lots of time for stuff like that. Now with kids and family not so much and it doesn't really bother me either.

Efficiency is measured in tanks lost to tanks knocked out. We average around 10-1 but have reached 60+ for zero loss on a one-hour map (Darkest Hour).

We is Waffen-SS panzer gods, innit. Thumbs Up
