Just got myself a 98 Hornet and need to get it restricted soon, just read the FI Alternative kits thread and was wondering if anyone had the part numbers for the parts i need.

am i right in thinking that i need rubber/washer things and main jets?

found this kit on ebay:
https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250723431425

anyone know if these would fit?

cheers

That's for a fuel injected bike, but i think the rubbers will do the same job.

Basically the rubbers restrict the airflow and the ecu is programmed to 'understand' this and change the mixture to compensate.

I'm not to sure on the fittings for your bike, but you will basically need just 4 washers that sit in the carb. I will have a look around and see if I can find some for you.

What ever yo do, don't buy them off Fi international!!

They restrict the airflow entering the carbs, you don't need new jets.

Yeah, but they have to be the right washers for your bike.

And some insurance company's will want a certificate, which means getting a dealer to fit the washers and that will cost you lots of £'s
