Normally wouldn't ask - but although there is 0 feedback there is an address and phone number.

https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MV-Augusta-Brutale-989R-/280575352266?pt=UK_Motorcycles&hash=item4153981dca

Wayy too cheap.

Anyone in West Yorkshire?

Looks like a scam somewhere along the line. I live about 10 miles away and have never heard of them.

From another forum https://www.honda-forums.com/index.php/m/227469/ they want 25% deposit and then the full amount upfront before you even get to see the bike.

If it's anything like the rest of the dodgy dealers round here it will be run by a bunch of lamborghini driving 18yr old asians who are about as trustworthy as prince arooroo from Nigeria.

Look at the rest of the items. Not a real picture amongst them. Note that they're not actually advertising the stock they've got- "built to order".

The website is pretty dodgy as well, tbh.

Dodgy as hell. Every advert is the same text with a different picture.

Dodgy as hell indeed.

Tried ringing the number?

This reminds me of that website that sold bikes from some sort of wholesalers that popped up in a thread god knows how many months back.

Cannot for the life of me remember what it was called, but it was laid out like your average shopping type website.

Avoid it like the plague man.

Definetly

A brand new rs125 or r125 for £2.5k is far beyond beleivable (let alone the rest of the prices)

As mentioned the 'built to order' bit sort of says it all really.

Registered as a business for just two months and the address looks like a house.

If you look on Google Maps and Streetview you can see the small industrial estate that the address belongs to - there are 6 units but none look big enough to run a vehicle trading business from (except as an office with stock held elsewhere).

Also worth noting, on at least one advert the details said "First registered in June 2010" but the text says the new owner will be the first owner. Not if it's registered already. And it'll be a 59 plate, so not really 'new'.

Using a live.co.uk email address.

No company selling vehicles will use a hotmail account for emails.

Scam FTW.

Still sounds dodgy as fk and with a huge amount of ads with the same wording it sounds like they are getting a 25% deposit from as many as possible, give an 8 week delivery time and in 7 weeks be on their toes laughing all the way to poland

The fact that they spelt warranty wrong then pasted it into all of they're adds would be enough to put me off.

And because this always scores high in google, that's BCAV SOLUTIONS LIMITED, trading from, https://www.bikescarsandvans.co.uk/, who I (at least) believe are scammers.

Looking at the website it appears they are brokers, who order on your behalf and pass on their amazing savings because they promise to order a fixed amount of cars from the suppliers. Ummm.... don't the franchised dealers also order lots of cars from the manufacturer??

But it's OK, because its "the simplest hassel (sic) free way to buy a vehicle in the UK today".

Or maybe it's all above board and genuine.

They make a point of not having any technicians to keep costs low, just to really get the alarm bells ringing.

Report the item to ebay for a start.
However, of course, this 'company' hasn't done much wrong.

As it's a classified advert, they certainly wouldn't be doing anything with the actual sale I expect.

As they specify a delivery time of 8 weeks or something, it gives them a perfect opportunity to appear legitimate and run.

They're just using eBay for advertising, the deal is done direct with them.

To be fair, it does look like a legitimate business model: manufacturers will be desperate to shift stock at the moment, and they don't have dealer overheads. Their terms are detailed and not unreasonable, given their role as an intermediary.

One the face of it, I'd accept that they're trying to run a real business. The question is whether they're capable of doing so, and what happens if they're not.

One warning sign is that they don't accept credit cards, even with a surcharge, that they're leery of dealing with finance companies, and they (illegally, I believe) charge a £75 fee even if you cancel under the Distance Selling Regulations.

So, big savings, big gamble. The choice is to hand over your money and wait (and wait), or ride away on a nearly-new bike from a dealer desperate to shift stock before Xmas. I know what I'd do.

They don't mention insurance but do talk about tax and you being the first keeper on the v5 etc - as far as I know, you have to take out insurance and give them your cover note for the DVLA to issue a v5 and tax disc.
