I have some weird ones but the one that i have repeatedly is where a small light plane is going overhead and suddenyl dive bombs and hits the ground, big explosion and im running away from it because the flames are heading my way.
Had it at least 3-4 times a week as a child but only once a month or so now. Always colour and always through my own eyes.
Guess im just strange |

Haven't remembered my dreams in such a long time. I find that if I only get 8 hours or less then I don't remember them. If I get a long lie in then I usually remember.
Most of my dreams that I do remember are always negative. Most of them involve either Fire or Nuclear War (which usually results in fire). I usually always die in these types of dreams.
https://www.dreammoods.com/ - I found this site was interesting. Fun to look up what dreams mean etc... Probably a load of crap but fun all the same. Look in the dictionary section.
dreammoods.com wrote: | Fire
Depending on the context of your dream, to see fire in your dream can symbolizes destruction, passion, desire, illumination, transformation, enlightenment, or anger. It may suggest that something old is passing and something new is entering your life. Your thoughts and views are changing. In particular, if the fire is under control or contained in one area, it is a metaphor of your own internal fire and inner transformation. It also represents your drive and motivation.
To dream of that you are being burned by fire, indicates that your temper is getting out of control. Some issue or situation is burning you up inside.
To dream that a house is on fire, signifies passion and loving companions.
To dream that you put out a fire, signifies that you will overcome your obstacles in your life through much work and effort. |

I had a weird dream last night where I brought loads of expensive things (cars, bikes etc) off ebay without realizing I hadn't got any moeny. I then spent the rest of the dream ignoring emails from sellers and slowly watching my feedback rating go down . Which was odd.
I also quite oftern (at least once a week) as Im drifting off to sleep have a small dream where I am riding, and the bike just falls over for no reason and I wake up as I hit the ground rather shaken up. Apparantly those sorts of dreams are quite common (the falling type nightmare). ____________________ My bike: 1988 Kawasaki KH100 Status: Polluting Devon with two stroke smog and noise pollution!

I had a weird re-occurring dream when I was about 12. I was running through some woods being chased by something. I saw a lake and ran towards it, only to find it was full of snakes. Continued running away, dream ended soon after.
I won't even go into the Freudian interpretation of that dream. |

I keep dreaming I get shot! The most recent was last night, and sooo realistic The worst one was when I dreamt that I got shot in the head and I felt everything fade to blackness... scary, that one!
I also have a house and a town I visit a lot in dreams. So much so that if I was more of an artist I could draw them in detail. But I've never been to either in real life, as far as I know.

Oh my dreams are always colour. I'm not sure if it's first person or third person now that I think about it. Sometimes it's one or the other.
Does anyone else find that your own house is usually the safe zone in your dreams? I've had various dreams where there's T-Rex's, aliens, giant mechanical spiders etc roaming the streets but only seem to come out at a given time at night and as long as you're in your house before then and the curtains are closed then you're safe.
Oh falling into the sea is another horrible dream I have. I do have a fear of vast deep open water though. Once I've fell in I usually proceed to sink to the bottom.
You know I can't think of a single nice dream I've ever had.  ____________________ Honda NSR125R -> Suzuki GSXR400R GK76a -> Kawasaki ZX636 B1H -> Honda CBR400RR NC29 -> Nothing  |

This is sort of related to a dream in a way. I woke up this morning with the song Girls on film by Duran Duran in my head!!!
Can't explain why, I'm sure I didn't hear it anywhere yesterday and the worst part was it was just the "girls on film, dur dur de dur dur, girls on film, dur dur de dur dur part over and over again. My wife wants to know what I've been dreaming about to wake up singing that and I can't remember.
I now have a fear that I'm dreaming in a technicolour Duran Duran nightmare world and my brain is currently blocking out the images to save itself from damage. One day it will all come flooding back and I'll have a breakdown or be cabbaged by the torment. |

Don't know about the colour thing, but I always dream about things and people that are involved in my life, quite realistic dreams.
When I was a bit younger and had just started working I used to have a recurring dream where I would chase the bus I got to work 'cause I had missed it and I never managed to catch it!!! I was always knackered the next morning when I had these dreams.
When I was a wee girl I used to have another recurring dream where I could fly and no-one could catch me!! Wish that were true! ____________________ I have an asshole tolerance level of -10

It's funny you talk about weird dreams, for the fact that over the past 12 months i've been having stupidly freaky/scary but interesting dreams. Mainly for the fact that quite a few of these dreams are happening in real life; these dreams are totally spontaneous and have no relative time within my real life, they jus happen but only get triggered by deja vous's. The two most significant dreams i've had so far is one about some mates coming round and I dreamt two nights before what was going to happen just before they were coming round, what happened in quite a few places of the night, strangely what everyone was wearing and that one of the mates was supposed to come with two others to mine at the same time, but she was going to be late for certain reasons (which i didn't either remember or didn't dream about). Now for me this first dream felt like quite a big coincidence that I dreamt that only Kate and Hayley were coming round first, and what they were wearing and the certain way Hayley had her hair up. I told my mate Cliff (when I had a Deja vous) that I had dreamt what was going to happen, told him that only two mates were coming first and the other later on and what Kate and Hayley were wearing, secondly told him about Hayley's hair. About 30mins later the door went, so I went downstairs opened the door, it was Kate and Hayley, they 'Hi, Jess said she's sorry but she's going to be late, blah blah blah.....' feeling funny, I didn't say anything, noticed their clothes, they were the same, noticed Hayley's hair; it was the same. Let them in the house said Cliff was upstairs, so I followed them upstairs, next minute Cliff was saying 'Mike WTF?! That's freaky'. I just couldn't explain how this had happened, the girls were questioning it all, asking me what was going on, etc but I couldn't have been more confused and startled.
The Second case: Over the past 2 months, i've been having more, but smaller (in length) dreams; and one was about an accident, it involved one of my friends at work, with a few faces I haven't seen before. I told my dad about these dreams the day after I had this dream because it started freaking me out, he seemed pretty puzzled and I think thought I was going bonkers or something. Well I had that dream last thursday and it involved my mates car, it was at night as I strangely remember seeing the streetlights and the sparkle on all of the shattered glass on the floor from the street lights, I could picture just what my mate was wearing and his passenger. I don't think I dreamt exactly what happened in this dream, because I can only remember bits of it, but the story was that a car went through a red light whilst my friend was crossing a junction, hit the drivers side at about 40mph, and my friends car went into a lamp post and wrote his car off. Exactly happened on Sunday night at a junction near his house, luckily my mate and his passenger were able to walk away from this accident with a few scratches and bruises. The thing thats is freaking me out now, is what else will I dream about? Now I think that most people that read this will probably think, 'ooh this guys a bloody nutcase, etc etc'; everyones entitled to their own opinion, I just thought i'd share mine with Karen and the rest on this thread
A very freaked out,

meh, actually I can bend spoons you see; allow me to take one spoon each end in each hand, apply thumbs in the centre of the length of the spoon; pull wrists back whilst pushing thumbs forward.
Voila, your bent spoon DF
Or do you really want me to rub up an old spoon

Oh I remembered a weird one!
I had a dream that I was asleep in my bed and there was a powercut during the night and was worried that the alarm wasn't going to go off because of having no power. So in the dream I was trying to wake myself up so I wouldn't sleep in, which did actually cause me to wake up at 5am for real and right enough the power was out! ____________________ Honda NSR125R -> Suzuki GSXR400R GK76a -> Kawasaki ZX636 B1H -> Honda CBR400RR NC29 -> Nothing |

I had this one where I was being chased by people for something (can't remember what) they looked like Yakuza and I was running through this building that was more like a maze with all it's corridors. Everytime they shot at me I'd just manage to dodge the bullets by an inch while jumping round and diving like mad.
I ended up in this toilet where I was cornered by this big brick shithouse and when I punched him he didn't even flinch, I kept punching harder until he got pissed off so I jumped over a toilet stall and ran down this corridor into a large room where there was a disco/party.
I remember see this big black woman, musta weighed about 300lbs. I just remember grinding up against her until I woke up and looked down to see what looked like a slugs trail across my boxers. ____________________ [M] |

I've had some pretty horrible ones lately. In one I killed a load of my friends and family in a house I used to stay in. Shot them all and piled the bodies in the living room, then shot myself in the head. Like Cath, I felt the world go black, then I woke up. <shudder>
I have regular ones about being stabbed in the back of the head and bitten by vampires. Weird.
As a child I had a recurring nightmare where I was walking to a school friends house the street up from mine. All the houses on the way there were deserted, but there was somebody in my friends house. The front door was wide open and there was a howling wind blowing around the place. I walked in the door and up the hall to the kitchen where there was this thin man sitting on the kitchen counter staring at me. All of a sudden the roof lits off the house and there is a giant yellow hand in the sky, it looks miles across. I usually wake up at that point. Another one is running along an old wooden train station platform with no socks or shoes. and loads of people standing around dressed in 1800's clothing.
In the weirdest one I've had recently, I'm arriving home. I open the front door and go upstairs and am greeted by our border collie (we had to give him away when our son arrived. ). All pretty normal except, when I woke up, my wife told me she'd just had the same dream!
Just lock me up and throw away the key... |

Two spring to mind, both of which were Lucid dreams (where you know you are dreaming and can decide what to do to a certain extent, you also tend to have a good memory of them if you wake up during them).
Both 'flying' dreams. When I was a lot younger I used to have one very regularly where I was a small brown bird, I used to just fly about to various places and visit people, they didn't recognise me but this was OK because obviously I was a bird.
Other one happened only once, I dreamed I was flying a fast jet of some description (I had actually done some flying lessons by this time) and was flying along at very low level before coming in to land on a bright sunlit runway. Just before landing there was an explosion in the engine and I ejected from the plane, woke up just as I saw the plane hit the ground with a bang from my parachute. This was all very realistic, and it wasn't 'till I visited RAF Valley that I realised where it was. I had never been there but I guess I must have seen a few pictures of the place.
The most worrying one was when I dreamed I had been called out to see to a cow on a farm about 15 miles away and then come home to bed. It wasn't 'till two days later that I found out I actually DID drive out to the farm at three in the morning, deliver a calf, then drive home after the farmer called me out again to see "that cow you calved the other night." (for an unrelated problem). I only thought I had dreamed it. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. A couple of years ago I had a really vivid dream in which my right arm slowly shrivelled up until it actually dropped off. I remember being gutted at all the things I could no longer manage on my own (including riding my bike) . The dream seemed to span over a couple of weeks and in my dream I was having loads of hospital visits (I hate hospitals) and eventually my arm grew back over night.
I woke up in the morning with such relief that everything was still normal and my arm was fine. ____________________ "Unlike public school you don't need to have your arse up and your head down to go a long way...." |
