...'cause some f*nny in a big blue Audi decided to pull right out in front of me, Asshole!!!! And he made me stall the bike!

I was driving along in left hand lane, him in right where traffic turn right into another road, he obviously didn't want to turn right and just pulled right out in front of me, no indicator, no nothing, and he pulled out pretty damn quick too!!!

And when I beeped my horn at him he gave me the finger - FUCKWIT!!!!

Never mind though, I just kick-started my bike again and when I was driving along and he was beside me, I gave him the finger back!!! Middle Finger Twisted Evil Middle Finger

Good for you girl!

I had some twat last night pull straight out in front of me on the A329M, i was in the right hand lane and he decided he wanted my piece of road Shocked Hubby was with me and wasnt too happy and went straight up his backside and stayed there until the guy moved over and then the driver called my Hubby a w****r!

I just tried to stay upright on the bike with my heart beating 10 times faster than its supposed to. Confused

I did that once, some bastard chav Chelsea fan chased me all the way thru the back streets of Fulham and then proceeded to argue with me at high volume, ending up with him driving his van at me (of which I kicked the bumper) (ow!) and which caused him to shove me in front of oncoming traffic and push my bike over before getting back in and driving off. Twat.

Plod said I couldnt do him for criminal damage, cos he would do me for criminal damage for kicking his van.

Hasn't stopped me from roadraging, tho' Shocked

I know it's not easy, but people should try and keep calm in situations like these. Road rage is dangerous enough in a car but on a bike it can much more easily be fatal.

And I'll admit to a little 'do as I say, not do as I do' here as, riding in London, I am certainly not immune to getting wound up... Crying or Very sad

Yeah...I had to do one on my CBT!

Some old bloke (instructor thought he was pi**ed) was pulling out from a parking space right in front of me !!

I came round corner...there he was....straddled RIGHT across my lane.....looking over his shoulder for traffic coming up in the opposite lane...not even looking at what was coming toward him!!

I slammed my brakes on...as did the young lad behind....

My instructor went MENTAL!!! Shouting at him..."I have 2 learners here...idiot"!!!!
The blook just looked back blankly Shocked and drove off Thumbs Down

Oh well..good lesson taught....some people out there are down right dumb.

I do have a tendancy to fly off the handle with people when they do stoooopid things to me when I'm driving. Especially if they have attitude.

Here's a wee story....
.....a twat in a big white mercedes box van drove through a red light as I was turning right and crashed right into my passenger side and sqashed my bonnet, I jumped straight out the car, no hesitation, not even a thought and the twat shouted at me "could you not see a big white van ya' stupid cow" well, that was me in a fury, I started shouting at him "could you not see a f*cking red light" blah-di-blah-di-blah!!! I'm glad there was my car and his van in between us, 'cause if not I would have smacked him one and he was a big bloke!!!

It wasn't until I got back in my car and moved it off the road that I started to shake, don't know if it was the fright or the anger mind you!!!

I do hear what TGabber is saying mind you, but some people just push you too far don't they!

Hellkat, do you know what p*sses me off about your story, I bet there were loads of peeps around and no-one did a bloody thing.

What kind of society do we live in? Confused

After that bloke in the white van crashed into me it was quite funny mind you 'cause when I had moved the car and we were getting each others details, he was still shouting at me and this bit lorry driver stopped beside my car and told him to stop shouting at me or he would get out his lorry and give him a pasting 'cause he seen him going through the red light and would be giving a witness statement to that effect!! Razz

So, I suppose, Glasgow isn't too bad a place after all! Thumbs Up

If someone makes me do an emergency stop, or take ridiculous evasive action (riding one inch from the curb at 80mph on a sweeping bend because hey, when you have a BMW, you just need to swap lanes mid corner with no real reason) and so on, I just look at them, beep if they haven't seen me, maybe extend the finger, maybe not, and then just get out of there, I don't want to stop and get in any trouble, I don't want to stick to the speed limit and hang around the morons, I will just get as far away from them as possible.
Road rage can be quite bad, when they have cars and you have bikes, so yeah, I tend to just give them dissaproving looks and be on my way.

As we're on the subject of emergency stops - my first one today was when a Foxtons Estate Agency Mini (those in London will know what I'm on about) decided to turn left from the right hand lane going Southbound just after the Hanger Lane gyratory on the North Circular. Idiot!

The second was when I was passing the Honda Garage on Power Road near Chiswick roundabout. A brand new Honda scooter comes shooting out of the garage, with a youngish lady hanging on for dear life! Rolling Eyes She managed to hold on (just), and kept the bike upright. She had L plates on and I reckon she had literally picked it up 20 seconds before. I had to stop sharpish. Felt sorry for her as I followed her as she was oblivious to anything going on around her - oh well, I guess we were all newbies once and I hope she survives her first day on PTW's!

Idiots aren't they? Sorry to hear about your run-in with the Audi FA...but at least you put him in his place.

Sounds like you're getting lots of experience out on the roads anyway! Thumbs Up

I've had more and more people look straight at me on my big yellow bastard and then just pull out without a second glance. The amount of bad, selfish, lazy, lackwit drivers on British roads is frightening. This coupled with the current fashion for anti-biker sentiment among the general populace is making me feel somewhat oppressed. Are they out to get me? Wink Certainly feels like it! Shocked

Cool

If I go out on the bike without my kevlar knuckles on, I feel underdressed, but not cos I am worried about losing skin or breaking bones (done that, broke a thumb even with the gloves on).

More cos I dont want to hurt my hand if I need to attack the odd windscreen/wing mirror or (on the RARE occasion) to try and "stick one on" thru an open car window.

Shocked

If you are only a reasonably new rider, then all I can say is "Give it time".

If not, well then you must be very placid, or live in a place where there's no cars driven by morons (?does such a place exist?)

Way I see it ... it never hurts to learn how to kickstart a bike, even if you never graduate from a 125. Well, okay, it hurts if you let it kick you back, of course, LOL.

My XL125 was kicker-only, and I loved it. Dunno if I could cope with kicking over anything bigger. I like my ankles unbroken.

The first one, only been riding a couple of months.

I do get angry but can never seem to find the horn in time or am too busy just trying to hang on when I've had to swerve cause the cage wanted that space no matter what!

Dont get me wrong, im a car driver myself but FFS, why dont people just look before they pull out! Confused

I don't mind my kickstart, however, on my first day, I was trying to kickstart it and I topped over, but luckily the bike fell on my leg and not the ground, so no damage done (to the bike that is, my leg is black and blue mind you, but it's going away).

The only other slight downfall is my shins are bruised a wee bit, don't really know what this is from, maybe with fumbling to get my feet on the pegs at the beginning, but that shouldn't be a problem any more 'cause last night I bought some nice girlie biker boots and they've got shin protection on them!!

Very Happy I LOVE MY BIKE Very Happy

You'll get used to using the emergency stop, Angel. They're an every day occurence to me. A big mercedes and a daft woman driver done the exact same thing to me (women seem to be the worse for getting close to bikes, in my experience anyway). The same happened just 10 min's ago on my way home. Some daft woman in a big blue audi was using the left lane to go right at a roundabout, and she had the nerve to give me a dirty look when I beeped my horn after almost going into the back of her Mad

I seriously cannot stand car drivers, the only good drivers are those that are bikers too, that way they understand exactly how we feel.
