Makes me laugh really. If Hitler had of won the war there would be no such thing as a Muslim they would have all either been exterminated or used as slave labour for Hitlers new world. the people the poppy's symbolise pretty much saved there lives.

It's 2 extremes really. One side is a bunch of undereducated ignorant So-called Muslims promoting a anti-peace/anti-islamic hate campaign to further add fuel to a falsely manufactured fire. And the other is a Paganistic ritual using the death of soldiers to justify and dupe the public into adherence. You don't need a certain hour/day/month to remember the ones we lost, their loved ones already carry the scars deep enough to give a thought to it everyday. If there was a way we would honour them, it would be by taking out the orchestrators of there demise.

It may have escaped your notice, but we have invaded two muslim countries, and killed thousands of people. In particular our soldiers have killed thousands of people.

I can see why a day of reverance for 'our troops' might leave a nasty taste in the mouth of people who identify with the victims of 'our troops'.

I think the spirit of rememberance is clean, but it also gets tied up with less noble aspects of support for the armed forces.
