Have been wanting some new bike boots. Was thinking of giving money to someone going to the NEC and seeing what deal/offer they could get.

However, passing local charity shop and not been in a hurry popped in for a brows. Now of all places in the ladies shoe section were a pair of bike boots, in my size (guess bike boots are uni-sex, I'd have thought size 8 being a big size for ladies shoes). All for £10.

They're in good nick too. Certainly get me through this winter riding.
I'm a happy bunny.

Anyone else got bike kit from unusual sources?

I got a set of two piece leathers for the O/H from a charity shop last summer.
Excellent condition, look like they've hardly been used. Prob £300-£400 worth of leather for £45 Thumbs Up

I often call into the charity shops around here looking for books but occasionally there is some gems. The gf loves her china and pottery and has an eye for that kind of thing. Recently we bought this pair of cup and saucer's for £3 for the pair and sold them on egay for £10.

Will keep an eye out for biker gear after the OP though Thumbs Up

Consider donating your old but usable stuff to them rather than faffing about on ebay for a few pounds.
