hello!!

Just bought myself a tzr125 G reg for 170 quid, 25k miles, absolute bargain, aside from one small issue..

its in bits...

yup, im going to have a go at a project, everythings there bar side panels and fly wheel, so im going to get it pristine then rebuild the bugger,
oh and it has a POWERVALVE !!, doubt it will be as quick as my ole vtr1000 haha!

id rate my bike knowledge at about 4/10 so should be a good giggle and ive no doubt i'll have loads of questions in the workshop section.

Any bits of advice before i get started tonight ? I'll post more pics when i get home.. very excited as i havent had a 125 for about 10 years !, lovely pong of two stroke soon !

The one plus side it has brand new tyres !!

Just remember it was taken to bits for a reason, so check over all the bits before you put it back together only to find the crank is junk Wink

ive had dealings with the guy before he's genuine and used it as a doner bike at first for his beloved DR125r, realised that not all the parts were the same, and so left it his unit,

should be sound ( I hope), work starts tomorrow on cleaning the frame up....

If the Chap bought a two-stroke Yamaha TZR125 race-replica as a donor for a four-stroke Suzuki DR125 dirt-bike, thinking that the parts would be the same, then I think I'd be VERY careful to check what was what before trying to put it together!

It would sort of suggest he knew very little about bikes, and probably less about mechanics!
Would explain why it was in card-board boxes though!
