Hi to you all,
I have just bought a 2000 Honda NSR 125 RR,i know its 0-60 time is around the 6 second mark, but what i really want to know is,what is its top speed de-resticted,i dont really want to know estimated speeds, but if anyone can truthfully tell me how fast it can go,it would be appriciated, the main reason i want to know is,that my brother has an Aprilia RS 125 and i dont want him to shit all over me when i get it on the road, lol.
Many appriciations
Matt

As far as I know, the "RR" bit indicates that the bike is an import. A UK bike should be an RY (well, the >2001 models at least Confused). And from what I have gathered from the variety of posts regarding imported bikes, the top speed is 85mph.

I am open to corrections, however Smile

I don't *think* they're all restricted... though most are.... AFAIK it depends where they come from, though most do seem to be restricted

with the exhaust and the carb restrictor taken out mine only managed to cruise at 85 ish but at a push i had it doin about 97mph, once i changed the front sprocket it will easily cruise and hold a speed of around 95-100mph and manage to go to about 110 after that.

ok i'm a little confused, Shocked
my bike is an Import 94 NSR from italy.
Now it will do about 85-90mph top end. But i rarely do that anyway unless on a quite morning.

I dont think there are any restrictions to my knowledge but i always thought the older NSR's never had any restrctions. it will do 0 - 60 mph in about 6-7 seconds, so i never thought it was restricted after reading the derestrction guide (on the NSR homepage thing).

Is it possible my NSR has a CDI restrcition? (even though its a 94?)
I'm confused about why they restrict them all different ways, would be easier if they was restricted all the same way ! Rolling Eyes

Scott.

At that age it would not be restricted for the Italian market. Any restrictions would have been done by the dealers who imported it to the UK.

All the best
