Has anyone seen this?
https://www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi4206561049/
Looks really bad, but at the same time fucked up enough that I might want to see it.

Yeah, I've seen it. They screened it a York City Screen (indie cinema) a couple of months back.

It's pretty good but I was steeling myself for the horror (and this from someone who's seen Grotesque, The Butcher, and various other 'extreme cinema') but in those stakes it didn't really deliver (or was mercifully discreet, if you like).

Good film though, the premise is more horrific than anything actually shown, but I liked. Quite a kooky sense of humour running through it too.

Enjoy

^^What he said.

It's not actually that gory or anything, they just play on the idea of it more than anything. The guy playing the doctor makes the film!

I thought it was a bit pants. Not tongue in cheek or witty enough to be cult, not gross enough to be a shock. It was... Weak.... Crying or Very sad

All because they didn't know how to change a stupid tire. I think they should teach basic mechanics as an obligatory subject at schools to try and minimize these kind of incidents.

Having said that, if everyone knew how to change a tire, most horror/thiller films would be left without an opening sequence. It is scary how many of them start that way.

edit: forgot to mention that I am watching as we speak... and trying to write up with a business case for work.

What the hell is tire? Understandable they couldn't change it, I don't even know where a tire can be found on any vehicle, and I thought I was fairly good with mechanics, maybe I have a minimised my knowledge on vehicles Confused Confused

All American cars are fitted with tires, Europeans and the Japs moved on to tyres though.

The guy playing the surgeon is amazing, really good casting but the film never actually goes anywhere. I can imagine the brainstorming sessions

"Guys, guys..... I have our idea, imagine three people being sown together ass to mouth to make a single digestive track"

"Ewwwwww, grossss... sounds good, how about the plot?"

"PLOT?!? Let me teach you something about the movie industry, films with the words 'ass' and 'mouth' together in the premise don't need plots"

Human Centipede is alright, but it's not going to win any prizes cos it's not amazingly good or amazingly shit, it's just kinda somewhere in the middle with the hundreds/thousands of other average films. Sad

Real cheap horror: "If there was "zero" - i'd give it. Definitely I will remember it as one of the worst I've ever seen". Mr. Green

Tis indeed, Battlefield Royale is another favourite, just hope to god the yanks don't see fit to remake them with America saving the day, still haven't recovered from the American version of the ring

Battle Royale has been touted to be remade for a few years now. The rumour mill says Tarantino is interested in doing it, one of his fave films apparently. Not sure if the subject matter is a bit of a taboo for the american market though. In any case it couldn't be as good as the original.

Films comparable with Oldboy? Tried Ichi the Killer (Koroshiya 1)? First five mins is pretty nasty, and there's some pretty horrible bits in it, but fab film, and Kakihara is the best anti-hero ever!

Get the uncensored version if you can find it. The anime is pretty cool too if you're into that kinda thing.

Yeah! But in this film they didn't need survival, just basic cage-driver skills...

When watching this my girlfriend asked me

"oohh that's so grim, what would you do in that situation?!"

I told her I would have jacked that car up and stuck the spare on at the beginning of the film, so removing the possibility of all badly thought out consequences and terrible acting.
