I don't use Twitter but saw this today, I really shouldn't be surprised but still.... Really!

Quote:
Last week 27-year-old accountant Paul Chambers lost an appeal against his conviction for comments he made back in January via the social networking hoojamflip Twitter, venting his frustration when heavy snow closed the airport, leaving him unable to visit his girlfriend.

"Crap!" he wrote. "Robin Hood airport is closed. You've got a week and a bit to get your shit together otherwise I'm blowing the airport sky high!!"

Anti-terror experts intercepted this message and spent hours deciphering it, eventually uncovering a stark coded warning within, cunningly disguised as a series of flippant words.

I know they need to follow these things up but this guy is clearly no terrorist, why bother!?

Stories like these are how you know terrorists have won.

So, you good people would like your freedoms AND security? Well, fuck off, I say, for you deserve neither.

Terrorists have won indeed.

A load of people retweeted his original post the other day, with the hashtag #iamspartacus.

Apparently those who thought it witty to change 'Robin Hood' to 'Heathrow' all got themselves reported. Rolling Eyes

It does seem silly, but anti-terrorist lot have to investigate any threat in case its real.

Maybe he should have got a stern talking to, but the judge is an idiot he clearly was not going to do it.

However this says to me that a lot of supposed terrorists, are also just fantasising plots that they would never actually do.

or to tell everyone they are sad, or where they are going, or what they are doing... Just people seeking attention. A waste of time really.

I only find twitter useful because I subscribe to news channels so I get a bunch of headlines quickly. Other than that, not interested.
