Went on a little jaunt by myself this evening......
doing 30 in a 30 zone....
lovely Smile

Junction ahead...3 cars waiting to pull out in front of me to turn right.

All stop.
Good, good.

Something tells me....hang on...that bloke in the front car looks like a pillock...shirt and tie on...but neverthless...a bit of a banana brain....

I kept on at 30....he looked at me....I got closer...he looked at me...but still stationary...I got closer....then he looked again and must have made the mind-numbing decision that YES...he could go ...all was clear !!! HE JERKED OUT INTO THE ROAD IN FRONT OF ME !!!!

Now....I missed him by about 5 foot...he looked at me AS HE TURNED,...right by me...and I shook my head at him..I should have done a 'W' sign. Confused

All the other cars looked on...but did not move...obviously...as I was THERE..at the junction!

Why do drivers do this ???
It is as if their brains take 10 times as long to make a decision!!

Good grief.

Apart from that the ride was great......
I am really loving this biking lark !! Wink

(What I do NOT love is the fact that Fiance is out on MY bike now!) Crying or Very sad

MY bike..... he will ruin her..... she only loves me.......

Crying or Very sad

CPL - I hate it when I see that!!!!

Even before I got my bike, when I was driving my car and either heard / saw a bike I would move over to give them some room to get past, but there are just some amount of f*ckwits out there that are so anal retentive!!!

The only way to be safe is to assume that they are ALL going to pull out on you and ride accordingly. You are invisible, flourescent bananna or not.

Remind me never to p**s you off!

Seriously, though i'm getting quite bad for taking my anger out when i'm driving.

I was driving a company land rover the other day, i saw someone in a traffic jam (i saw him laughing in the mirror) tried to knock a biker off his bike. I saw red and oops my foot slipped on the accelerator. BANG.

Me: "Oh sorry mate didn't see you", see it can be used both ways Laughing Laughing

Somehow it was deemed a 50/50 fault. Still didn't stop me from having to fill out about forty pages of "incident report" forms.

Had to be breathalysed as well. Rolling Eyes

I was bollocked for having a go at the guy for his stunt with the biker.
