Thought I would introduce myself properly.

I'm Andy as the username suggests (lots of thought and imagination went into it).

I live in Chepstow and work in Bristol so it was costing me about £250 a month just to go to work, so I figured I would get a scooter to cut costs, and boy did they do that. Slightly cheesed off that I missed out on avoiding the CBT by 2 months so after the cost of everything the scooter paid for itself after 3 months.

I just recently went up to a suzuki intruder 125 and can't even look at the scooter anymore (even though the speedo says it has managed 58mph downhill with a tail wind).

Since I have about 1 year 4 months left on my CBT I'm going to use the time to decide whether to go up to a bigger bike or just stick with the 125 for a bit.

Anyway nice to meet you all, I hope my stay here is a pleasant one

i don't get it rob do you have a restricted license or something? because you have had that fazer for ages in your sig and avatar, just get it done lad! i just got mine out the way god it felt good. how can you have a big bike and never ride it! i couldn't wait to get off my cg (no matter how much i loved it and wish it was still here) and jump on a proper fast, mile munching, fun bike!

to the OP. i would probably do the test and get a bigger/geared bike. go for maybe something like an er-5 kwak or a cb500, there great on fuel and regular 'commuter' bike. Honda dueville is another to check out. good mpg 50+ a lot quicker when you do fancy a blast and great for over takes.
