Oh, and comfortwise, it makes the Daytona 675 feel like a luxury vehicle! ____________________ Currently Riding - 2002 Aprilia RSV1000 Mille |

I've never been a fan of the head on shot with the single head light or even the colour scheme. A big 1000cc twin appeals though!
Whats the exhaust trying to be? A scud launcher perhaps? ____________________ Current : MSX 125 Past : CBR 900RR Monkeybike : c50 LAC : ZXR750 H2 : FZR600 : ZX7R P3 : YW100 : TRX850: Trophy 900 T309 : GSXR 600 L0: Monkeybike : XJ6S Whosthedaddy |

Nice bike but the first thing I would do is get rid of that single can and put the double cans on. A thousand twin should have a whacking big noisy can on each side.
I've still got the standard cans on my twin and it sounds great. Cant wait to get bigger cans on myself though. ____________________ illuminateTHEmind wrote: I am just more evolved than most of you guys... this allows me to pick of things quickly which would have normally taken the common man years to master

^^ Difficult to say, as I'm sure you've seen by the weather! Plus it has a super square rear tyre, which is on the limit. And they are Conti Road Attacks which I've not had any experience on.
I may get some Corsa 3's at the NEC show in 2 weeks time.
It definately pulls though! And it just doesn't seem like your going fast, then you check the speedo and have a bit of a 'whoops' moment! Like the laziness of it, on the Hornet (the Daytona was a bit more forgiving) if you tried to give it some beans in the wrong gear it would do sod all....this is definately different!
Hopefully I'll get some nicer days soon (I doubt it!) to try it out a bit better!
And yeah, I really want an Akra, doesn't seem to many around at the mo. I do like the Mivv's, but I think just look to small on the RSV. And I don't like the twin cans on them - the link pipe just looks horrible on most that I've seen! Plus, thats twice as much money and I'm tight ____________________ Currently Riding - 2002 Aprilia RSV1000 Mille |

Standard exhaust is pretty loud anyway for a standard can.
Aprilia do their own "racing" exhaust that was developed with Akrapovic, is Titanium and you can pick them up silly cheap. I got mine for £70 second hand.
I found my Mille hugely comfy for a sports bike, and dead easy to ride silly fast. Handled like it was on rails.
Make sure you keep the battery topped up though. ____________________ My Flickr |

For the advice, cheers guys!
The guy with the RSVR sold it to someone else, even after I'd arranged to come and pick it up, and hit buy it now on ebay! This one was local-ish and seems to have been looked after very well, previous owner was a bike instructor.
I will get an optimate lead fitted and keep it healthy!
I do wan't an Akra, at the moment the only one I can find is battered, and being sold by a dreamer!

I shall have to play the waiting game! ____________________ Currently Riding - 2002 Aprilia RSV1000 Mille |

Optimate is a good point, you can get uprated batteries to give more cranking amps too which might be a good idea, to minimise the possibility of it kicking back against the sprag.
There's a few people breaking bikes on rsvzone, might be worth trawling through there. If no-one's selling any now you won't have to wait long - they're always for sale |
