Well, a few weeks ago I was bored and had nothing to do. It occured to me that the smaller bikes like the NSR etc are very often overlooked in bike magazines, so I decided to go out, take some photos, and write an article myself Smile.

This is the result Smile.

Since i took it to a bike meet with no L's on. Maybe you should write one shaun, though do try to write one that isn't vindictive and doesn't mock other bikes/people - hard for you I know Evil or Very Mad .

Maybe you should write a bike article that isn't a load of lies and I might be impressed, a decent bike article isn't a load of lies and full of comments some blind guy made to you.

I'm writing from experience Shaun Smile.
You're bitching about a bike you've never rode.
No one knows a bike as well as one who owns one (except maybe the person that designed it)...

So quick to jump to conslusions, I have rode an NSR and I hated it, each to their own but I found the handling to be really bad compared to my RS!

I nean physically it's very big for a 125 and people have occasionally mistaken it for a 250 and occasionally a 400.

Some idiot chav kid asked me if it was a Fireblade Laughing .

My favourite bike magazine is not in print any more. It was called Used Motorcycle Guide, a little A5 booklet full of articles submitted by real life bike owners.

They would definatley have published that article if they were still on the go (although you perhaps started to drift into a bit of slang as you were wrapping up, using words like 'kanckered' when the tone of the rest of it was very formal [/english teacher]). They wouldn't have payed you for it, just a t-shirt and a free copy. I still keep a few copies about for their 'Buyers Guide' which is the most honest appraisal I have ever seen, not scared to call a dog a dog.

On the NSR125R/F they say "Apart from slowness, shockingly poor economy and horrible exhaust drone, the 12hp NSR has a lot going for it. The chassis is up to four times the power, the engine tough and the looks are flash. Some bikes are so heavily tuned that they hit the ton on the back of thirty horses, easy to end up with a fragile, peaky engine. After 20k, brakes and suspension wear out. Lots of dogs around."

That is a pretty glowing review by UMG standards Wink

I can't think of any other magizines offhand that take user submissions now. That is why UMG was good. You heard about the bikes as they really were, what falls off after six years of owning one, are they a bastard to insure et-cetera

It really isn't physically big for a 125 though, the RS is physically bigger than the NSR!
