helmet + bluetooth + glasses

I'm after peoples advice and experience, i have a shoei shaped head and find a medium shoei a perfect fit. Such a good fit that attaching the speakers from my scala q2 causes agony!
I've also recently had to start wearing glasses, so was thinking of switching to a flip front lid.

So my question is, can anyone recommend a flip front helmet for a shoei shaped head that i can fit the scala to?
Or would i be better off flogging the scala and getting a helmet with integrated bluetooth from the start, although this seems a really picey way to go about things Rolling Eyes

and if this is the way to go whats a good helmet that fits that criteria?

i am not sure what shape a shoei shaped head is... But being a glasses guy here too I found the v-can v210 flip front to be fairly good. Theres an integrated bluetooth version too. Viper also do the same helmet I believe. 2 companys using the same manufacturer I guess.

I really like it... I tried 1 on in a shop before I got it... blue tooth works fine with music and isn't 2 loud in your face so you can still hear what is going on around you.. not made a call yet through..

really good all-round... my bike is loud and it cuts the noise down and is a nice fit... It has sun visor as well.. contacts are a good idea if you can deal with them...

I hate my glasses and often think that they stop me seeing more then anything else... always steam up...

Can't comment about Shoei shaped head but I have had Nolan flip helmets and they work fine. I've had 3, or is it 4 now.

The old N101 has an Autocom fitted so it should take a bluetooth.
My new N103 can take Nolan's own bluetooth so I'm thinking it will take other headphones and mic like the scala.

FWIW before I got the N103 (at a very good price, wouldn't have considered it otherwise) for about the same money I paid the Viper V131 can be had with integrated bluetooth. I was thinking of one but couldn't find anywhere to try so went with a brand I know plus it has the anti-fog with it. Downside is the Nolan bluetooth cost about an extra £100, have to look if anyone has an offer on.

The Viper can be had from Sound Distribution.

Also FWIW just remembered from my earlier thread that Hein Gericke (certainly the York store, so maybe others) are offering a try (as in go for a ride wearing it) before you buy on the Nolan N90 (cheaper version of the N103, doesn't have the cam opening system). Maybe an option for you to try.

Some modern helmets have recesses inside the helmet in the polystyrene lining over the ears to accommodate the speakers of the comms unit (starcom, autocom etc) I find this to be the best option as they don't put any pressure on your ears, leaving you as comfortable as if you wasn't wearing earbuds etc. I spent a couple of years with the speakers stuck to the inside of the helmet before getting an helmet with the recesses, and with the pressure they pit directly onto my ears, the pain was excruciating after a hour or so. Not to mention the pita it was to pull the helmet on/off. Now they're in the helmet it's bliss
As for wearing specs, I find wearing a slightly more robust framed specs easier to wear compared to thin wired framed type, as the thin wired frames get compressed inside the helmet, distort and eventually squeeze the bridge of my nose or don't sit on my face as normal. Generally irritating me, whereas wearing a thicker frame does sit more comfortable
Flip front helmets that fit the bill Inc shubert C3, & caberg justisimo though the caberg is a little noisy however it's always recommended to wear ear plugs for best effect while using comms
