Hello all.
Since my last ride, when it was pouring down, I haven't worn my gloves since and I didn't dry them properly. So now they're mouldy. I've given them a few days in the freezer but how do I actually go about cleaning them without having to buy expensive leather stuff?

I'd be inclined to bin them if they are mouldy TBH.

Failing that I'd put them into a washing up bowl with loads of hot soapy water and a little bit of bleech, then freeze them.

I don;t think Freezing them gets moisture out, what it does is kills the mould/bacteria.

I froze them, washed them in detergent then put em on the radiator. Hopefully they'll be dry for my test tomorrow Laughing

Stuff some newspaper in them, and try not to frazzle them on the radiator.
You could also pop them in a pillowcase tie the end and tumble dry them switching between high and low heat.

Baby wipes are good for keeping leather gloves clean.
Then get some leather care stuff. I use Flexalan 2.5ltrs for under a fiver. A little goes along way..Not on the palms tho Thumbs Up

Bit of febreeze stuff for a few miles of nice smells.

[edit]
2 pairs of gloves FTW

HA HA, I feel your pain, I put my wet gloves in a bag and totally forgot about them, until I needed them, then..... DAM Shocked the amount of shit that grew on them was just nasty... the bag started to grow some as well.

It was a lost course, so just binned it
