Dear Danny,

I am writing to advise you about a project for which saros is currently recruiting; based upon the information you gave us when you registered with saros you may be able to take part.

The project is about people’s behaviour in their kitchens. We are looking for people who have purchased a brand new kitchen from a specialist kitchen supplier (NOT a general furniture or utilities supplier) in the last 2 years. It will involve installing 3 digital cameras in your kitchen which will record all food related activity over a period of 8 days. There will also be a depth interview taking place both before and after the installation. Our client is keen to move ahead with this project, and will be keen to begin this within a week.

If you are selected to participate there is an incentive payment of 500 pounds. This is a much higher payment than usual due to the lengthy and intrusive nature of this project.

General eligibility is as follows:
Ø You must be a UK citizen, or UK resident for at least 8 years

Ø Neither you nor your family and close friends should work in: Advertising, Marketing, Market Research, Advertising, Journalism, PR or kitchen design and sales

Ø You must NOT have participated in a focus group or any other form of market research within the last 6 months, OR have been interviewed to do so in the near future

Ø You must have purchased a new kitchen, including fridge/freezer, dishwasher and electric hob and oven, from a specialist kitchens supplier within the last 2 years, and have spent at least £2,000 in doing so.

Ø You must also use your kitchen to cook food at least once a day

Just to clarify, the hob and oven DO need to be electric, not gas. Similarly, they need to have been purchased from a specialist kitchen supplier, not a general furniture wholesaler.

If this applies to you, (or anyone you know) and you would like to register your interest in participating please reply to this email with your details in regard to the above criteria, as well as a contact phone number or email address for us to get back to you on.

Finally, our client would like to make clear that as a market research institute they are bound to very strict data security regulations. This means that we can assure you of the absolute anonymity of all data which will be used exclusively for this research purpose and will be destroyed right afterwards.

Many thanks for your attention,

Edward Flexman and the Saros team
