190bhp? Maybe for the race bike but i'd be very surprised at a 190bhp twin as standard. It'd be peaky as fuck and drink fuel, unless they ha some seriously fancy electric trickery.
Most of ducatis customer base seems to be dependant on it being loud / red / sexy / expensive? So longs as they don't break from this it will probably sell well |

I'm guessing they will be mega expensive ££££££! Oh and with them ditching the trellis frame they've also ditched the belts too ____________________ Bikes : 2006 CBR125R - 2004 Monster 620ie - 2004 ZX-6R B1H - 2005 Monster S2R 800 - 2011 Street Triple - 2009 Streetfighter 1098 - 2014 ZX-6R 636

If this is released as a production model I would expect it to not be under the 1198 'Corse' model which was around £19-£22,000 iirc.
A full carbon semi-monocoque style frame is exactly what they run in their GP bikes and you can be damn sure this won't come cheap.
As nice as they are, I think they are being caught up with in terms of beauty (Look at the new ZX10R!), maybe not in terms of exclusivity and such but other bikes now draw my attention just as much as a Ducati without needed to be serviced every 100 miles. . ____________________ "Four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul."

Well the current Ducati's have better service intervals than the japanese stuff and as for the looks I'm sure they won't want to do another 999/749 which got them into a lot of shit ____________________ Bikes : 2006 CBR125R - 2004 Monster 620ie - 2004 ZX-6R B1H - 2005 Monster S2R 800 - 2011 Street Triple - 2009 Streetfighter 1098 - 2014 ZX-6R 636

Look forward to this. Just need to get rich before 2012
And Paulington: You need a visit from the bad taste police. The new ZX-10R is fugly. How you can even think it's comparable to the 848/1198, let alone the 916/996/998 is completely beyond me. The Ducatis are timelessly beautiful, and the ZX is just a confusion of poorly composed, messy, unnecessarily angular aesthetics.
And bEN_, you've posted a picture of the 2010 ZX-10R - which is actually considerably better looking than the 2011 model. In fact, it's all gone down hill aesthetically for the ZX-10R since 2004.
This is the new model:

And of course, the Ducati:

I fail at google
if they just stopped painting everything else besides the fairing black it would look half smart, i like the actual design just the colours ruin it for me ____________________ 2010 Ducati 848 Dark
