Looking to buy a Suzuki AY 50 and was just wondering how you would go about maintaining a 2 stroke engine. Like how often should you change the oil, Clean the spark plugs e.t.c?

its a 2 stroke... so no oil to worry about, (except the stuff that gets mixed with the fuel to lube the engine)
always carry a spare plug with you along with a spanner to remove it,
change when needed,
every few thousand miles its advisable to "de-coke" the engine,
eg pull the head off remove all the carbon buildup on the piston and around the rings, and also the head,

de-coking the exhaust is always advisable at the same time,
either by burning the carbon out or chemically removing it with a caustic soda mix,

and thats all the maintenance you'll probably need to do,

doesn't need touching.

my mate had a rs50 for a year and all he did was put fuel and 2 stroke oil in it,i stuck the hose pipe in the coolant tank every once in a while and his bike ran ok untill the end,but even then all it needed was a new plug and air filter.
