Going to pick up my CBR125 and attempt to save it from a fatal engine munching session.
Brother has got a big land rover.. old style but new one.. LOTS of room.
What should I do, its faired, so lay it on something? Draining fluids isnt possible..? Is that cool?

Put it on it's sidestand and put a single strap diagonally across pulling down between the tank and under the front of the seat. Crank the strap down so the suspension is compressed. Use something to stop it rolling forwards under braking. This is how I strap bikes down in my van.

Theres a bloke on here that put a GSXR into a Renault Clio.

If that can be done there wont be a prob getting a 125 into a land rover.

Pete's solution is sound, but there is an alternative, there was a bloke on here who ran his own recovery firm just as a favour to hard up bikers, he would probably pay you to collect your bike 'cause he's got a van, and insurance, and experience, and.................everything!
Mind, he did have an awful attitude problem as several members here reminded him. Haven't heard from him for a while, maybe he's looking for his spellchecker.

Borrow a transit, or a trailer!
Back door on a Landy is 1/3 the width of the load area.
Floor is also 1/3 the width of a load area.
Land-rovers BITE!
Wiggling a bike in the back is no easy feet, neither.
For starters you have to lift the damn thing three feet off the floor to get it in, THEN are faced with that narrow door.
Get past that, and three of you will be struggling for elbow room, mashing fingers on the missing door seal edges!
Its NOT a nice experience.
I learned the hard way.....

I bought a 1978 Series III Long wheel-base with the notion I could stick the Montesa Cota trials bike (that weighs about 2/3 what a CBR does!) to and from trials!
I soon aquired a trailer!
The load area isn't that tall, or wide, becouse of the big steps for teh wheel-arches.

Take tools, and a couple of not TOO hefty helpers. Ie strong enough to lift and hold the bike at wiggle height, but not so big they get in the way as you try and wiggle it through tight gaps!
Remove body-panels.
Remove or tuck the bars in.
Foot-pegs and tail-pipe coming off would be handy.
as would anything else 'pokie-outie' thats going to get cought or clobbered.
Pack band-aids for when the door-seal gets cought, comes off, and bare metal bites!
Pack ice for when you bang your head on the roof!
Once inside, strapping it down can be awkward, unless its got after-market lashing eyes fitted in the floor.
Only real strapping points are the holes in the tub-rail, running around the top of the pick-up tub, just beneath where the window panels bolt on mine.
and they are small.
You may want to see if you can get hooks in there before you set off, if not buy some bolt eyes or cobble something up to give you laching points.
Conveniently, Land-rovers dont have very good door-seals (have I mentioned that!) if stuck, you CAN lash a tie down through the gap between foor and frame to the side steps or tow hitch.... or even the chassis.
alternatively, pack the thing as best with cusions and have some-mug in the back sit and hold it still!
Had to take my lads C50 to its MOT in the back once (on my own!)..... though that would be easy, cos its small and light!
No way, damn nearly needed surgery after!
C50's aren't that light when you have to lift them three foot off the ground and waggle bars through a land-rover door!

Lecky tape the front brake lever to ON. will help stop it rolling around like a twat.
