With all the cold weather and subzero temperatures, I want to disconnect my battery overnight, and leave it indoors, and possibly charge it or whatever.
However, i have an Acumen Cat1 immobilier and alarm on it, and was wondering whether there would be any adverse effects? I dont wanna wake up in the morning and find the bikes been permanently immobilised or something, and i have to cut the immobiliser out.
I have disconnected the battery for a few minutes before, and the immobiliser and alarm did seem to function. But i'm concerned about taking this power source away for a longer period of time.
I don't mind if my bike won't be immobilised/alarmed if the battery is out, i'll make sure i chain it up good. I'd rather have the battery inside.
Thanks in advance. |
Don't know about the Acumen, but I had a lot of problems with Datatool alarms on different bikes after disconnecting batteries.
Personally, I wouldn't do it.
