will an xjr 1200 exhaust fit my fj1200 3cv??? ie collector and downpipes??

Doesnt look like it tbh.

A quick google and ebay seems they are slightly different...also the exhaust is probably set specifically for the model of bike it went on.
Ex. the FZR600 and Thundercat engines look the same.. totally different exhaust system.

why dont you try a fj or xjr forum??
that would have been my first port of call over a general bike forum

i bet there are only about half a dozen regular forum users who are dedicated scooterists, the rest of us who happen to own scooters along side our bikes, probably wouldn't post in here regarding scoots, we would go on a scooter forum
