My bike was due in for 20,000 mile service today and some new tyres,
whilst it was getting done i borrowed 1 of the dealers bikes for the day and was suprised how good it was.. Thumbs Up
handles very well for having budget suspension, brakes work well and i think it looks quite smart aswell what do you's think?

I like them, I didnt like the look of the older models but this new one they have brought out looks the part. Even the naked one looks great.

With the 0% finance over 5 years they are doing with 99 quid deposit I've been tempted to see if my credit rating is good enough to get one myself.

My only concern is the depreciation. When you leave the showroom a new bike goes down in price just like a car.

Oh fuck i sound like an advert for yamaha! my suzuki brethren will turn in their graves! Laughing

Fuck-a-duck. When did the diversion get so pretty?
They have always been an A- bike, nothing wrong with them as such, but no real joy about them either. For commuting or as a courtesy bike i'd say they are spot on. The new looks are certainly an improvement Thumbs Up

These are mine and my partners XJ6 Diversion with Evotech tail tidy

I think it looks a lot better with a tail tidy than the original thing - certainly fits in my garage better Confused

Er... you appear to have stolen my bike Laughing

Was going to head to brecon and get some obligatory pics of my new bike that I picked up mid-august and shove 'em up 'ere this weekend but you've done the job for me Laughing

<<< Has a 10 plate white xj6-s diversion Smile

The tail on it is unnecessarily massive however and totally agree a tail tidy is worth the dosh. Still not exactly the ugliest bike to look at Wink

Gis a go.

I've been seriously tempted by an unfaired one for some time now.

Used to be a choice between that and an MT03, but having ridden the single recently, think the XJ's the better choice for me.

I was seriously, seriously tempted by the fully faired Diversion F today. Only good sense (her indoors) saved me from rushing in, and I'm glad for it. I'm still torn over it but the dealer has promised to honour the price (part ex, etc.) for a few days to let me mull it over. I think it's gorgeous for such a 'friendly' bike.

Time for some nakedness then...

Cutting a long story short(ish). Bought old CB500 from dealer on Friday. No test ride. Dealer closed by the time I notice fueling problems. Left bike at home and drove family to North Norfolk on Friday night. Phoned dealer Saturday morning. They can look at it Saturday afternoon. Hitched lift home with extended family leaving wife and kids in Norfolk. Took CB500 to dealer. Mechanics pull it pieces then tell me it’ll be ready Monday! Aargh! Need to be back in Norfolk in 3 hours!... Will this do, sir? Brand new XJ6 with 30 miles on the clock.

Long weekend in the big sky county with someone else’s bike?

Fuck yeah!

Supposedly doing them a favour by running it in. Although to be fair I’ve been ultra careful with it.

Some nakedness pron:

Good bike. I owned the old Diversion from 1995-1997 and it was pretty good as a commuter and one-up tourer. This is in a different league of fun though. I’m rather impressed.

Still got another 140 mile ride back to the dealer in the morning.

Thread inspired me to go take a look at my local dealer.

They had LOADS of these in the show room.
Faired, naked, abs & non-ABS. Every colour.
Not a popular bike or just an over enthusiastic dealer?

Anyway, I must say the Divvy F in white is a very good looking bike.
Maybe not so much the naked version but its by no means ugly.

The prices and the 0% offer are very tempting.
Only thing that puts me off is it being an in-line 4.
Never been a fan of them as you generally have to rev the tits off them to make the most of the engine.

I had one for a few days while mine had warrenty work done. Was ok but very much had the feel of a learner bike. Slow top end as well quite surprised me, looks i quite like apart from the size of it its a bit small and the tail is rather ugly.

Would prefer an fz6 over it.

FZ7 and XJ6 are wank, low quality shit imo.
the engines might be good but the rest of the bike lets them down.
XJ6 has no grunt at all.

I for one fucking love the XJ6.

I borrowed one from work for awhile and i can say it's got a good bit of punch (if you know how to ride it)

I much prefer it than the FZ6.

Smooth usuable power.

They wheelie like champions too.

How is build quality compared to FZ6?

I don't like the look of that swing-arm. Razz

Problem with all the Jap middleweights is the European bikes (Triumph, Aprilia and Ducati) are better specced for very similar prices.

Nice enough bikes, just better bikes for similar if not less money out there.
