Well having been looking at tyres lately and those for the XL125V, I notice that they come OEM fitted with Bridgestone Battlewings, which is an appalling tyre given Bridgestones ability to make such good tyres.
I notice on the Varadero forums that the Bridgestone BT-45 was rated as a good road tyre, and when I used them on my 650cc 1cyl I thought they were excellent.
At the moment I use Metzler Tourance on my DL1000 and for a dual-purpose tyre I don't reckon you can get better, though opinion will differ.
I'm not sure how they'll behave on a smaller bike, but they're perfect for heavier machines, cost around £150 - 200 fitted and will do 8,000 - 10,000 miles (more from the front but it's not worth it). ____________________ My claim to fame: Austin Vince nicked my pen... |
