It's actually a question about my car not my bike.

Basically i need to replace the alternator, (car is a T reg 1999), but i'm struggling to find an alternator from the same year, i've found one off of an R reg and was just wondering if anyone knew for sure that this would fit or not?

Car is a honda civic 1.4i

Cheers!!

I think you'll be better off asking on a Honda car forum about that really. You need to find out if there were any model changes between the years you're talking about. The Japanese tend to do massive redesigns every few years or so, and so it is possible it won't fit.

However, Check on a proper honda car forum and see if they know... or alternatively you could try somewhere like Pistonheads.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Easiest way to check is to get the part numbers. Or if you can't find a schematic ring one honda garage and ask for the part for a 99 and another and ask for one off a 97/98.

If its the same part number you're away.
