McDonalds Festive Advert....

Has anyone seen this, where they all 'sing' the fast food of their choice to the oik behind the till la, la, la... ???

One of the vehicles in the queue for the food, singing into the thing where you talk to a box to order your food is a bike (Some kind of crosser?)

WTF

Why?

Someone enlighten me, why would you go through a drive through on a bike?

I would go inside if the food was for me, or if i was taking it home in a bag chances are i'd go inside as well, in order to put it in my rucksack or whatever - and probably quicker to.

Anyone take their bike through the drive thru?

Perhaps its just me.....!!!

I go in when I want to get my junk food fix on. If I wish to eat at home then I put it in my back pack! I have a large bottle with a large lid so I put my drink in that (with no ice)

I have a bag which I put my food in to keep it nice and warm. I also place my drink bottle in another bag to keeping it away from warm food

I have my own system of getting fast food back to my house

I tried going through the maccyD's drive-thru local to me on the bike. They wouldnt serve me, kicked up a fuss, made alot of noise. Parked up, went in, and ordered. Someone inside started moaning at them for not serving 'that poor lad'

Also, they wont serve you at the drive through if the main resturant bit is shut. 1am, i was hungry, parked about 30feet from the window. So i wander accross, knock on the glass, and got refused. I explained 'that' is my car there, but no. So i got some one to help me push the car through the drive-thu I got my mu'fukn chicken thingy!!

Did it this year on my mates SV650 at Pyewipe in Grimsby, my mate was riding and as we went through I turned round and faced backwards.

Caused abit of amusement for the troglodytes at the windows.

Still I did steal the idea.

but then they only park up in the car park ayway

i find it enough hassle getting my wallet out at petrol stations, so for food by the time Ive got my gloves off and wallet out, got change had to put it away, put wallet away, make sure all pokets are zipped up i would have thought its just not worth it.

I guess a lot of peds dont wear full gear (least round here) so makes it quicker, would it still not be quicker going inside?

I've done a drive thru on my runner, but i put it under my sit and rode back to college.

What gets me is people that go through the hassle of the drive through.
To sit in their car and stuff their faces.
Make a mess in the car, and stink it out.

I mean.
Just go into the fucking "Restaurant"

I've been through the McDonalds on the A20 Swanley about a hundred times. At first there were a few WTF looks, but now I don't get them

I'd chuck the meal in my jacket and put the drink in between my speedo and screen on the GZ125. Not sure how I'm going to manage it on the GS500 now.

I work window 1 at Mcdonalds a few times a week... the rest of my week is spent in the kitchen :p, can't say we see many bikes/peds come through, but you can tell when people are/aren't prepared... Theres no policy on not serving them though as far as I'm aware, as long as you don't walk through (if the restaurant is open) you should be served.

As for drinks, lots of people who go through get an orange juice, milk or fruit shoot for theirs because its easier, being sealed and all... Although the other day I left a milkshake in my bag for a ride home and it survived, the lids are surprisingly watertight and milk shakes are so thick anyway...

ive always been served ad drive thru's however at m.d's im more incline to go in but at kfc i go round an cause im there tht often if i order me n the missus meal but say no drinks they give me a bottle of drink instead for us to share.

i always unzip my coat and put my luggage in ther zip it up again.

used to walk through the drive thru at Teesside Park back in the day when the night club was open near the cinema, again no problem.
