Might be of interest to some here?

E.T. does not need to phone home anymore, someone, or something is on its way to earth.

SETI Astrophysicist Craig Kasnov has announced the approach to the Earth of 3 very large, very fast moving objects. The length of the "flying saucers" is in the range of tens of kilometers. Landing, according to calculations of scientists, should be in mid-December 2012. Date coincides with the end of the Mayan calendar.

A few very large objects rapidly approaching the Earth - says SETI astrophysicist Craig Kasnov. Dont take his word for it you can check it out for yourself. He recommends to go to the sitehttps://www.sky-map.org/ and enter the coordinates of the giant UFO:

19 25 12 -89 46 03 - the first large object
16 19 35 -88 43 10 - a cylindrical object
02 26 39 -89 43 13 - the object as a circle

The project participants are assured that the facilities are absolutely real, and the American space agency NASA is trying to conceal important information.

None of these objects can be seen from the northern hemisphere. The second set of numbers in each line tells us that the "object" or "objects" is/are coming in from very deep in the southern hemisphere sky.

In any case, the only thing we can do now - wait for it - says Kasnov. - Soon celestial objects will be visible in a good telescope.

Keep your eyes on the skies the truth is out there.

A quick googling showed nothing in the mainstream news, which is odd as they like their science mysteries. Normal googleing shows lots of dubious sources repeating that same info, one of which is the messageboards on davidicke.com, so i'm thinking this one's bollocks.

Calculating a collision course with earth is difficult as telescopes only see in 2d, but the object is moving in 3d, as is the earth. So though something may have characteristics of an earth intercepting object doesn't mean that it is Both could quite easily be comets or kyper belt objects by the looks of them.

Apparently they are single plate defects from the Palomar Observatory Sky Survey and don't appear on other photographic plates.

Funnily enough just googling "Craig Kasnov" only brings up more threads relating to what he has supposedly claimed in the OP. Haven't managed to find a page that actually states that he ever worked for SETI, or is even real, at the moment - I stopped at about page 5.

EDIT: You'd think a worldbreaking event such as this might manage to spell his fucking name right "Kasnoff"

Still not found anything to suggest he's said anything of the sort....or even that he's an astrophysicist

Craig Kasnoff was one of the founders of Seti@home, the internet says in similar threads.

I doubt alien spaceships would be travelling through space in such a way.

That is a pretty stupid thing to say.

How could you possible know how aliens would travel if they exist and were going to travel?

An educated guess. You think inter-system travel is possible below the speed of light? Cryogenic suspension perhaps? Or immortal bodies?

Its a resonable remark as no space faring lifeforms would travel from star system to star system at a speed lower than the speed of light as it would take hundread if not thosands of years.

Most common theorys on inter star system space travel are, faster than light propulsion or a form of folding of space ie a worm hole.

@Tatters

Yeh but they may do, we have no idea. If the aliens could travel at light speed or faster then obviously we wouldn't see them.

OK then, from your perspective, maybe they travelled at light speed and are now slowing down for the approach with a couple of year observing us ready for the great alien invasion of earth. Laughing Laughing

Either way, if they are alien ships, we would have no idea until they showed us what they are themselves or got close enough to properly examine.

Of course all of this is bollocks as proved by panrider above.

also, even if there are aliens, why would they want to come here!

as soon as they got with in tv signal range, accidentally picked up ITV2 and saw jeremy kyle, they'd be going the other way at light speed.

They would probley see us as a species much in need of civilizing and enlightenment.

Of course in exchange of all our natural resources. Laughing

There are things on earth that live for hundreds of years.

Lifespans of thousands of years are perfectly feasible.

If they're pulling wheelies at some silly sub-light speed on their inter-stellar GSXR, while snoozing for years in cryogenic sleep, what's to stop them having a bad day with some random space junk on the way? A bee strike at 100kph hurts, tens of kg rock at multiple thousands of kph aint gonna look pretty on the mv² equation. I hope their fairings are cheap to replace. And where do you get the parts when they stopped making your spaceship 10,000 years ago? Is there some intergalactic scrapper dealing on ebay?

Just curious Razz
