How do I tell the age of my Ape Piaggio 50 Commercial

I have recently bought a Ape Piaggio 50 Commercial Pick Up with the engine on the rear wheel and I was wondering how I could find out its age?

It's not registered but I have the engine and the frame number and will require parts in the future.

I was wondering if anyone out there could help?

Hey, sorry can't help on the age front thing.

The parts mainly sold through reliant now. (well was when I had my APE)

Bought an APE (pronounced ah-pay..not APE ) chap I knew had stickers of gorillas all over it

Bought a crash damaged one when I was 15 and did it up of a weeknights in the garage.
Needed everything from a new windscreen to side panels. Got some bits custom fabricated and as I got quoted £££ direct from reliant but hunted around and got everything loads.

Is in Germany me thinks. Used them before, transaction was totally faultless. Had to send them the £ by bank transfer. REALLY good value stuff on there. Is in german but easily translated online.
