Heine-Gericke Thumbs Up. Expensive, but worth it. The people in the Sheffield store were really helpful, knowledgeable and not pushy. No complaints.

And another thing, when I crashed, I bust my arm wearing a cheaper jacket (Streetmate or some crappy brand), the Heine Gericke boots and trousers stopped my legs even hurting.

I have to agree.

Before doing all my DAS I spent a long morning in the shop trying on almost every thing they had on. The staff were great and gave me loads of advice without being pushy about their gear.

Then a tear appeared in the leg of my textile pants after a few weeks. Took it back in to the Brum shop and they took it back no problem. Since it had to come from the warehouse he's even getting them to send it straight to work.

Now thats service Smile

The only problem I have with my Hein Gericke gear is that it doesn't fit me any more, because I've lost so much weight recently!

You say that like it's a bad thing! I thought Hein Gericke were OK with women's fittings (or am I getting confused with the babes in the catalogue Very Happy )

That's the only area I think Hein Gericke need to improve on, clothes for short arses and skinny persons. I'm 5' 11'' and weigh 11 stone so am pretty average - Hein Gericke stuff fits me fine.

However, my girlfriend is a 5 foot 7 stone shorty and finds most tings in Hein Gericke useless. We finally found a leather jacket to fit her but she's having to wear kids trousers which don't look great.

My wife is 5.2" and a similar weight, she had the same problem with the Hein Gericke leather jeans. She now has some Dainese (of course) Joy jeans that fit her spot on off the peg. They are probably more expensive than the Hein Gericke counterparts but fit is more important than cost. They were £199 by the way.

Yea, I should of mentioned that she's found her dream pair of trousers, they cost £389 (Dainese, who else) and are a perfect fit.

They also need to accept that you get women over a size 16 who want leathers.

My Gericke trousers are technically 'mens' and I had to cut 4 inches off the legs to make them fit length-wise. Not a hope of getting a jacket to fit cos men's jackets really don't fit women (too big in the shoulders) and their ladies stuff was all far too small.

£389 not £289? Dragonflys or Keeps? The Dragonflys are usually £299 and the Keeps £289. I've just bought some Joys to go with my P103's on more of a touring tip, no knee sliders! Shocked

Please write to HG.

If you don't tell them, they won't know.

Companies are not keen to lose sales, especially as these are things they cannot measure.

Contact them via their website, tell them that you wish to shop with them, but because of your size, you are having to shop elsewhere.

The gears turn slowly, but they do turn. Things may happen, but only if you push and prod.

I have to bump this post, 'cause the service we got from Hein Gericke last night was fantastic!!!

We headed over there about 5:20pm and I tried on a set of leather trousers and jacket that I had tried on twice already, but I knew I was going to buy them, just wanted to try them on once more to make sure!!! (you know what us women are like).

Anyway, 'cause I was spending lots of pennies we decided to take out a store card and spread the payments, so we did all the necessary form-filling stuff and the guy phoned it in, but he had to wait for the credit company to call back and by now it was 5:50pm and they closed at 6:00pm. The credit company had said they'd phone back within the hour and by the time the shop was due to close they hadn't phoned back, so we said we'd come in today to pick the stuff up.

So, we're on the road home and we get a call about 6:10pm, from Hein Gericke, saying the credit company had called back and if we weren't too far away, we could nip back to pick the stuff up to save us coming in tomorrow.

I was well impressed, 'cause this was well above the call of duty.

So a BIG thumbs up to Hein Gericke from me!!! Thumbs Up

And I love my leathers Mr. Green
