Just wondering what your opinions are of this guy ?

Used to think he was quite funny on Mock the Week but not funny enough to go out and buy his DVD....

So I downloaded it instead.

Just watching it just now and have decided to pause it (06:40) and so far it is fucking hysterical. So far all he has done is abuse the people sitting in the front row of the audience, and you can tell that all his stuff comes right off the top of his head (not made up previously). There probably will be some rehersed jokes throughout but so far it is looking to be an excellent show.

His Live dvd is fantastic. I was laughing for the next few days every time I remembered one of the jokes.

He is edgy in a good way.
Are you watching the one where he says what do you do, to some girl and turns out she looks after disable children. He deals with that pretty well.

Always wondered why the hell she would go to his show if she didn't enjoy his humour unless she was with mates.

Used to like him, but all the stand up I saw of him was the same so got bored. Although if this dvd is new material then I imagine it will be good.

saying that, did any one watch the tramadol nights thing he has on 4? that was pretty poor...

I watched him doing his stand up routine on the telly the other night (late and un-censored) and I loved it .

He`s not afraid of the political-correctness brigade, he just tells them to "f*ck off" .

He`s now doing that "Tramadol Nights" programme, which is good but not up to the standard of his stand up routines imho.

Tramadol nights was terrible.
He was great on mock the week and his stand up can be great, if a little repetitive.

Very disappointed with Tramadol Nights. Love the stand up, but his sketches suck my nuts.
And that's bad.

I like him, but went to see him live when he had just started to gain a reputation, and he recycled a lot of his material, which was very disappointing.

I need to see more of Tramadol Nights, I thought it was funny in parts, tedious in others.

I shall 'acquire' his latest DVD tomorrow .

I have two of his DVD's and they are hysterical. I went to see him in Cardiff bay about 3 years ago and was sat in the 2nd row and ended up getting picked on. He is immense live to be fair. I'll have to get his book now that I know he has one out.

Went and saw him at Hammersmith last month with a mate. Always loved his humour on Mock the Week but his live stage performance is another level of sickness - massively funny. As said before - if you sit in the front row prepare to be destroyed with words!

Over rated in my opinion.

Far better comedians out there that are generally "offensive" (in the sense that they get you to question your day to day assumptions) - eg Chris Rock, Mitch Fatel, Oswalt Patton, Doug Stanhope.

I saw him live in October, very funny guy. He did the jokes about Jordan's kid, they were sick but very funny. I did wonder if he would ever do them on TV, turns out he did and funnily enough the Ho aint happy.
