Hi any one know something about it?

I have GZ125 Marauder. I read that bike is restricted for UK market. Speed is restricted to 60MPH. I read that in Spain same bikes are riding up to 80MPH.
Any one know what should be done to get few more horses?

there not restricted, its a 125 and they are heavy bikes.

bollocks about 80mph in spain, its all hype.

60mph on that is pretty normal to me

I'm just read, this is all about CDI unit. They have stronger units.

Unless you find evidence of the CDI and people selling them then its a no.

They are not restricted, and are basically the same engine as the gs125. If it was doing 80mph it wouldn't be learner legal as the power would be more than the law allows.

Pass your test then get a bigger bike.

About all the cdi can do is change the ignition timing and the rev limiter. I would doubt that the rev limiter is set low enough to cause any issue, and just retarding the ignition enough to lose about 20% of the power (to go from ~80 to ~60) would probably make it run like a dog.

Technical correction: 80 -> 60 is about a 44% drop in power. Or put another way, it takes 78% more power to get to 80 than to 60.

The easiest way to get your bike reading 80mph is to change the speedo. Or better yet, just lie about it. People will believe any bollocks you spout - demonstrably.

Technically correct (just assuming wind resistance), but I was being lazy and going off the speeds a ~11hp H100 managing about 60 and the 13~14hp bikes that manage about 80.

i know nothing about any form of restriction in the gz, but i seem to remember there being a 150 or 175cc version available.
or that might just be a figment of my imagination...........
sure i seen one in ibiza or a greek island (memory is a bit fuzzy due to obvious reasons,lol).
perhaps thats where the confusion has arisen? wouldnt be the 1st time a major bike manufacturer has done this. (cbr150 as an example)
worth looking to, if your bored.........

After owning one, and working on many of them, there is no form of restriction, only that of gravity and wind resistance.
there heavy cruisers, and if your getting 60-65, your doing well.

They do make a 250, but im not so sure that came to the uk market.
